Georgia Senate Runoff - official

Total: 4,406,279

Ossoff: 2211603
Perdue2194578
Total: 4,406,181

Almost same number of votes. Doesn’t seem that people votes for Warnock and left. They actively voted for Perdue.

That makes sense because as useless as Perdue is, Loeffler really was worse. No one voted for her in the first place and she couldn’t point to anything she’d accomplished. And Perdue gets good feels for being related to Sonny Perdue, popular former Governor.

Yep. She'd only been in office two weeks before she started grifting and selling shares on the stock market to her benefit after confidential Senate briefings. Political Barbie had no prior political experience, community activism, and she isn't even FROM GEORGIA.

Perdue had political experience, 6 years in the U.S. Senate, family ties to the state, a cousin who is the former Governor, and statewide name recognition. He still lost with all that.

The slight differential really just comes down to incumbent advantage.

No Donny. Unless we win by exactly 17,780 votes. Then you'll know we're f**kin witcha.

LOL! That’s funny.

Ossoff's current lead is 17,441.

Did not help to have -
- Trump failing to be a President and tackling COVID, vaccination rollout, doing a mask mandate
- Trump playing golf while COVID death rates are spiraling out of control.
- Trump and Mitch not giving $2K checks to people
- Trump making that crooked call to GA SOS
- Trump claiming that voting fraud is happening/will happen
- Trump infighting with GOP
- GOP leaders saying that Trump is a loser
- Pentagon coming out against Trump
- Russia Hack thanks to Trump's kids and cronies selling them info
- Trump being a sore loser
- People realizing that if they only vote, they can defeat racists politicians
- Two really terrible GOP candidates who are not in touch with people or COVID running for the senate seats
- Trump being a national embarrassment that we will never live down.

Oh guys. Can I just say: I honestly didn't even really dare to dream that we'd win both seats. It truly feels as if we have the possibility of not just things being a little bit normal, but maybe... actually good?

Put Stacey Abrams on Mount Rushmore. Preorder 100 copies of her new book. Give that woman whatever she wants.

Do you think Ossoff will get enough votes to not be in recount zone?

When I woke up this morning all the GA counts said "with 98% reporting." Why, several hours later are counts still saying 98% reporting? How long does it take to count those addition 2%?! This is maddening.

NBC officially called it for Ossoff just now. You know...in case anybody cares.

Late last night, there were at least three counties that had major failures of their voting machines. They said that they had to do hand counting of at least 17K votes. Based on the current conditions, I think they are probably being extremely careful while doing the hand counting of the votes and it takes much longer to do a hand count than a machine count.

Hopefully he is not even that. Just another senator. For now.
