Exactly.

Tired of all these Marketing Strategies from the TD. How about focusing on player development!!!

Don’t forget the big part of big and fast. That seems to be high on lateral recruiting list as well. Of which there is quite a bit, at least in the form of dual rostering.

More false promises of getting opportunities and then another year goes by and nothing.

Anonymous wrote:What is this new "Academy" thing? Can anyone explain it.

Not top team, not Blue team...What then???

Probably the player pool for MLS Next and ECNL (remember some of the ECNL teams will be coached by MYS coaches); there will still be an order or teams. Just a renaming for the new leagues.

Top team is ECNL/MLS Next. With their own coaches correct.

But what is the Academy then? They have different coaches. NOT ECNL or MLS Next.

For boys it will probably be 'the player pool'. From here, boys will be ECNL, MLS Next, or CCL.

Tryouts for ECNL and MLS Next are over when are the official offers coming in? The mess, the drama! Yeez!

Can't say I'm excited about DS losing his coach next year.

People not on MLS or CCL team, how do you feel about your player's team/coach? How's the player development? Is there actual player movement or opportunities during the season? DC is rising U11 and don't want to continue to hear the same story that never materializes? Is the development better at smaller clubs nearby? Not sure if we should stay or look elsewhere.

Rising U11 (meaning U10) and you are this stressed out? Oh boy.

We went to a less popular club nearby and my kids development improved so much more than the years spent on second teams at SYC. There is no technical development...and the kids who are developing are paying for extra sessions on the side with a private coach. This other club focuses on technical thereby not needing to pay for extra sessions.

Unfortunately, the grass won't be greener at another nearby Club.

NCSL is a good option if you are in a good team, with a good coach.
