Also an indictment of the future prospects of the GOP. |
Yikes.
“Mass casualties from the coronavirus could upend the political landscape in battleground states and shift contests away from President Donald Trump, according to a new analysis. Academic researchers writing in a little-noticed public administration journal — Administrative Theory & Praxis — conclude that when considering nothing other than the tens of thousands of deaths projected from the virus, demographic shifts alone could be enough to swing crucial states to Joe Biden in the fall.” https://www.politico.com/amp/news/2020/04/23/how-coronavirus-could-upend-2020-battlegrounds-204708?__twitter_impression=true |
Yep. As long as actually effing vote. |
+1, I feel better about NC than I do about WI or FL. Remember NC also went for Obama 08 so it’s not even a brand new pickup for the D’s. |
Current RealClearPolitics battleground state polling averages:
AZ: Biden +4.4 FL: Biden +3.2 MI: Biden +5.5 NC: Trump +1.3 PA: Biden +6.7 WI: Biden+2.7 |
^^^ Trump won Ohio by 8 points, people. |
It's still early and a lot can happen. Keep working hard and fighting for our republic. Don't let up til after the last ballot is cast and counted. |
Excellent! |
Some other very reliable pollsters have Biden over Trump in Ohio also. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/Ohio.html |
n 1936, FDR beat Alf Landon with 523 electoral votes to 8.
The biggest electoral defeat in US Presidential history. Even with just 8 votes, Landon got 36.5% of the vote. Trump getting just 40% of the vote would be a landslide for Biden. That is where current polling sits. It won't stay there, most likely, but still. |
