Still waiting on making a decision? |
| Is MU going to have another ID session to make up for the cancelled one? Or is everything going forward going to be based on emails to the coach. |
Maybe. Or maybe they have found enough capable players to fill the rosters. I'm sure they will announce sessions if they need more. |
Email a coach and attend a practice like a big girl. Jesus this isn’t hard. Most serious players attend practices and not ID sessions. This is how big girls do it at older ages. You either are interested or you just want to troll. If you are trolling it is a weak effort because it is well known and understood that tryouts are not the only way to make a team. |
Why do you have to be so rude?! Unnecessary |
I have to agree. If anyone is sitting on an offer, that's on them. MU may move on, but belittling people and being unwelcoming, here or in person, never does anything valuable for anyone. Not every question is from a troll. I think MU parents need to lighten up. This anxiety is common, especially if parents are considering a move from one program to another because change can be scary. Before anyone pounces, I am an MU parent, and I confirmed my offer. |
ID sessions on Wednesday & Thursday this week https://mobile.twitter.com/metroutdDA/status/1130938921834156033 |
| I don’t see how Great falls soccer will be playing in the ECNL regional league and also be in charge of the MU DA. This little club now has all of this? Somethings not right. Waiting for the other shoe to drop at MU. |
These are the posts that get old. GFR is not running the DA. It has never run the DA. It is not going to be running the DA. The coaches are George and Spencer, plus some other coaches coming in. Those are the people who are and will be running the DA. As for the ECNL regional league, that is a sales pitch. This is the VPL rebranded to be a "regional league", which really only means the winning teams can play at the bottom of ECNL events. Those teams will not be ECNL teams (whether tier 1 or tier 2) and will not have the patch. In the same way, the current ECNL is what's left of the former ECNL + the CCL rebranded. This is clear as day for anyone who's even emailed or made a phone call, let alone actually shown up for anything. |
Why do you think that's an MU parent responding like that? The question wasn't from a troll, it was from a spirit parent. I'm not even sure the PP I asked about the offer isn't a FUD troll. |
Good points. OP should also note that St James xFCV is also part of the regional ECNL (because they are an NPL club) and running a DA. Interesting they didn’t take the time to post the comment in an FCV thread, since the connection between their DA and non-DA programs is MUCH tighter than GFR Spirit or MU... guess we should be waiting for the “other shoe to drop” for STJxFCV. |
Congratulations, but aren't you a little old? Seriously folks, this is becoming way too common - people using "I, we, our" to describe activities that their kids do, and they watch. It's really weird actually. |
Fair point, 100%. I saw "here" and understood "here at MU". I take it back. To whomever said "why do you think anyone here cares", same applies. If you are with MU, that's a terrible response. And if you aren't, you have no business being here and responding like that. Go to whatever thread you belong to and stop harassing posters. |
It's not weird given the cantankerous nature of this and previous Spirit threads. I have asked questions and had parents who self-identify as Spirit/MU respond with venom. Maybe those people left; maybe they didn't. As for you childishly picking on the grammar of "my" vs "my DD's" offer, I think that's what's weird. Since I write the check and I drive her to practice, I'm still a part of the process. |
yeah ... but you really shouldn't be. writing checks and driving our kids is what parents do to be supportive of our kids' pursuits. it is their thing. we parents had our turn and by constantly saying "my" and "we" you sound like you are not ready to let go of your glory days. may not be the truth but that is how it comes across no matter what the sport or activity. |
