Well, YES. You can’t be deposited at two colleges at the sane time. You put down deposit and secure spot and new school and then immediately notify/withdraw from the first one.

DD’s friend got off the UVA waitlist a few days ago, was given 72 hours. He accepted. He had been an ED deferral, then WL.
