As someone with no affiliation to either team, here’s what I observed during the game: In the first half, Robo struggled significantly on the draw, with Westfield winning the majority of possessions. Westfield capitalized on those opportunities, scoring many of their goals off cuts and penalty shots as Robo’s defense broke down at times. Westfield’s offense appeared to run primarily through #1 and #9. In the third quarter, the Rams made a noticeable adjustment. They began winning more draws and were able to take control of possession, which helped them build momentum and earn the lead. Key contributors for Robo seemed to be #16 and #21. I’ll also add that, from my perspective, some of the officiating appeared to lean in Westfield’s favor, which may have played a role in their late comeback. That said, it was still a very competitive and hard-fought game by both teams.

You just blew your cover, when you said, officiating leaned toward Westfield. Thanks for the game rundown, Robo lax dad!

Did you attend the game to watch your daughter, WESTFIELD DAD??

Nope... guess again, Charlie.

Glad to see dads other than BF Dad on the board. Welcome Westfield Dad and Robo Dad!

Robinson parents just can't help it. Never have. Never will.

Normally, I would agree with you about a scrimmage, but it appeared that both coaches played mostly starters. From an emotion/energy standpoint, it appeared that both teams were into it. I think they treated this game like a real game.

My biggest takeaway was ROBO did not shake hands afterwards. As a coach this is unacceptable. Scrimmages or game always congrats to your opponent

Nope -they did the standard “good game” line. You must have missed it.

Westfield looks like a very balanced team with good players at all positions. Nice off-ball offensive movement/cuts, good feeds, and finishes. Looking forward to seeing what they can accomplish this season.

My guess is because the new Westfield coach used to coach at Robo many years ago
