Why do you dislike law enforcement?

It's not 1950. Try calling 911 today and it's unlikely they'll even bother responding. "File a report online." Or if they do show up, they aren't there to pursue a crime, they're just going to write a report and then get back on their phone scrolling social media. They are grossly overpaid stenographers.

Meanwhile, their bootlickers will rationalize them doing nothing all day with, "They're pursuing important stuff and solving big crimes!"

No, they're not. They're literally sitting on their asses.

Every word before and after the word “bootlicker” gets nullified. Seek help.

Just not from 911!!!

Keep in mind that doctors kill a lot more people every year than police do.

Very true.

Medical errors in the USA account for around 500,000 to 750,000 deaths per year, and that's JUST the ones they admit to causing. Imagine the real numbers.

Statistically speaking, seeking medical help is one of the most dangerous things a person can do besides driving an auto and being around police officers.

Good luck with that. What if your house is on fire?

DP but "firemen" handle fires. Police should not be involved they just get in the way and slow rescue efforts.

This MUST go away.

Police even have it in their head they are above the law and refer to citizens as "civilians" as if they think they are not civilians themselves.

This is the military like mindset of modern police forces, who think they operate by different ROE and laws like the military code of justice, but they don't, at least not yet.

Famous true saying goes "When danger is seconds away, the police are only minutes away."

Only a fool relies on police for protection. They are not even paid to protect the public, and the USSC has ruled many times they are under no obligation to protect anyone other than themselves, and their primary focus is to enforce trivial money making laws.

In my experience, cops have never helped when I needed help and have caused me unnecessary problems just because they could.

Nicely stated.
At best police are a nuisance.
At worst, they are an occupying enemy force.
Either extreme, they are not needed anymore. Probably never were.

And we are fine with you feeling this way and look forward to never having to receive your call or respond to you ever again!

LMAO I'd never call the police. Unless it was to come clean up a mess.

I need you to flesh this statement out for me. It makes no sense.

Perhaps try thinking about it. Spoon-feeding someone the obvious rarely enlightens them.

I figured you couldn’t explain it. No big deal. Good luck.

Google Jim Crow laws.

Look up the color of money.

We can teach a kindergartener calculus, you have to do some educating on your own part.

What is the penalty for stealing a carrots $1000? What is the penalty for insider trading and making $60K off it?

What happens when I can’t pay my bills? I’m evicted and homeless
What happens when a white male cant pay his bills? He declares bankruptcy, keeps all his assets, doesn’t pay me or you or anyone, renames his business and moves on. Well then I can’t pay my bills because he didn’t pay me.

Do you know what debtors prison is?

Don't steal.
Don't commit crimes.
Don't do or possess controlled substances.
Don't drive without a license.
Don't drive an unregistered car.
Don't drive an uninsured car.
Don't miss court dates.
Don't neglect to pay fines.
Don't neglect to pay court costs.
Problem solved.

Da comrade. Obey zeee rules! Be unt goot subject! All laws are just! Zeee state is always correct comrade!

Given the choice between living with you and living with the person who listed the rules, I’ll take the rule-follower.

Because you crave the illusion of safety rather than independence and accountability for yourself.

"Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Ben Franklin.

He might have had a skullet, and a deviant with the older ladies, but he was right about that.

freedom x security = constant --Larry Niven

It's not a binary choice, but how much we decide to hand over to the state for enforcement. You really don't want me to start enforcing my arbitrary laws. I probably don't want you to start enforcing your strange idea of justice. We live in a society; we aren't sovereign citizens.

I really don't care. Just stay out of my way.

Your existence consumes resources that I might need.

The same could be said about you.
Peaceful people don't try to take from others. No laws or cops needed.
Bad people will attack you, regardless of laws and police, and cops aren't obligated to protect you.

Your ethics aren't my ethics.

They don't have to be. Nobody said that. But you have no right to tell others that your ethics should be universally obeyed either. See the disassociation that is going on?

If we aren't going to have a police force, I am going to enforce my ethics.

You can certainly TRY, but forcing your will onto others is a good way to reduce your own lifespan, which is why the old saying goes "An armed society is a polite society" - R. Heinlein.

Law enforcement took 1,922,577 crime guns off the street between 2017-2021 according to the ATF. Who’s going to do that, the keyboard vigilante?

Yep. 100% correct.

What does that even mean? Nonsense. Pure nonsense.

They probably sold them to the drug cartels also.

Law enforcement operates within local, state and federal laws. There are no “rules of engagement.” The major problem at this point are the people that have YouTube U. law degrees earned while watching inaccurate and biased videos.

Side note: the claim about medical errors and deaths is not true, much as the NRA wishes it were

It is quite obvious that the majority of posts on this thread - especially in the latter pages - are from the same one or two individuals who have anti-law enforcement "tendencies". This thread is not at all a true representation of the community's outlook on law enforcement, for or against.

I was thinking the same thing— most of these anti- LEO posts read as if it’s the same person.

I figure the majority, even here on DCUM, don’t have these extreme beliefs against police.

Your link says numbers are inflated but offers no American study that proves their point. It’s just a lot of words with no objective conclusion.
