VA Democratic House candidate performed sex acts online for tips

Anonymous
I love how she calls the exposure of the videos an”invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family”.
How can someone be so stupid as to post something like this and not realize there’s an excellent chance it will later come back to “humiliate” them?

She doesn’t need to do this.

If there’s another viable democratic candidate in the wings maybe, if not I guess we’re going to have an adult performer in the house of delegates. We’ve had larger embarrassments.

Oh, yeah. She's in my district. I think this was super dumb, but I'm still totally voting for her. And I don't think any of my Dem friends in this district would switch their votes to Republican because of this no matter how stupid they thought she was. We all know this entire election is about abortion in Virginia. However, there are also plenty of Republicans in my district too--especially in Goochland. But they are also mostly moderate country club style Republicans. I'm not sure how many of them want abortion to be illegal either.

It is kind of ironic since Roe was predicated on the right to privacy and abortion is an issue about a woman's right to do what she wants with HER body. We have very puritanical beliefs in this country, especially when it comes to women's sexuality.

It's already disappeared from talking points that I'm seeing. So maybe it won't turn out to be as big of a deal as I thought? Youngkin will run roughshod over this state if he can.

I'm also in her district but new to the area, like most of the people here. I'm voting with the party, I don't know a ton about either of the candidates.
Really? Know little or nothing about candidates but voting with "the party" (which I'm assuming is D)? Good job at confirming the stereotype of the typical West End resident. But that's just as bad as the Rs who pulled the lever for Trump despite not liking his antics. A few Rs I know who couldn't do it (yes, there are some) grumble about the results but can still look at themselves in the mirror in the morning.

You said nothing of whether you're OK with Gibson's activities, including playing the victim-card. If you don't care or can overlook it, than good on ya but if not, then withhold that vote or write-in someone, even if it's yourself. At least other posters here, unlike her, own their decision. Politics over pride, I suppose, or they simply either don't care or see nothing wrong with it/her. All of which, as in love and war, are fair.

But get informed. Don't be a sheep. Don't be one of those low-info voters.

I don't care. I always vote for gun control and pro-choice, so the R party is a hard no for me. Candidates don't matter.

It isn’t? What exactly is wrong with this?

Most people with morals find this gross.

As long as she’s not part of a trafficking ring or being exploited, I support her 100%.

Plus the fact that it makes the rightwing bible thumpers head’s explode is an added bonus for me.

Love it. Absolutely love it.

Prostitution is illegal here are some quotes it eludes to campaign fund raising

Gibson tells her husband: 'Ill let you f*** me in the a** doggy style in a private room if someone wants to pay. That's the deal.'

At another point she says: 'Y'all can watch me pee if you tip me and some tokens, again I'm raising money for a good cause.'

At another, Gibson explains she is in an open relationship with her husband even though he 'doesn't like sharing.'

Her husband, attorney John David Gibson, then says: 'Sometimes I have to though. She makes me.'

'I've had three in a day actually,' she says at another point. 'Don't tell my husband he was the third.'

'I’m married and I think the person I’m married to is amazing. But I love sex. I always have I always will. I don’t think that when you are in love with someone it means that you don’t want to f*** other people. Like love and sex are not mutually exclusive right,' Gibson explains of her marriage.

In many of the videos, Gibson urges viewers to provider her tips in the form of 'tokens' and promises to take viewers into a private online room for the right price.

'Y'all I need more tips ... They want anal and missionary but I'm only doing it if they're in a private room.'

'Racking up one token left and right, any more? I'm raising money for a really good cause,' she says at one point. It's unclear if she meant she was raising money for her campaign.

This is beyond gross.

But sex work is real work, so we should all respect it!

she's a prostitute because she... had sex with her husband? Does that make me a prostitute?

Prostitute is the wrong word. More like a porn star.
Curious PP if you let people watch you and your husband have sex, much less let them watch you pee.

I can’t imagine anyone with children, taking the risk of doing something like this.

You mean does she support a women’s right to kill her fetus.

They're both prostitutes, both her and her husband had sex for money. Don't leave him out of this.

Anonymous wrote:As a liberal who is very worried about Youngkin and Republicans long term plans to change Virginia’s abortion laws, I am so pissed that this woman agreed to run and never once thought what might happen if this came out. I don’t care what consenting adults do in their bedroom, if they film it, if they stream it for money, if they partner swap, whatever. But if you run for public office you’re agreeing to be on a public platform and have your life be scrutinized. It’s part of the job. So if she felt so strongly about women’s health and other issues, did she ever just think maybe those videos might jeopardize my candidacy, cost me votes, hurt my chances and hurt my party?!

I don’t GAF that she’s done some weird stuff if she was my NP, but as an elected official she’s subject to bribes, blackmail, etc and this kind of stuff wouldn’t pass any security clearance (I’ve been a reference for people, I know what they ask and want to find out) and just puts her at risk. At the very least get ahead of it and say “yeah, I’m in a happy marriage and we have a sex life. That’s all” instead of playing some victim here.

Youngkin wants a 15 week ban, this is longer than even Europe, odd that we are so abortion happy in the US

In most European countries, abortion is generally permitted within a term limit below fetal viability (e.g. 12 weeks in Germany and Italy, or 14 weeks in France and Spain).

Go live in Europe if you want their abortion laws.

15w is not acceptable for many reasons.

LOL liberals think Europeans are so much more enlightened than us, with the exception of their earlier bans on abortion.
