How do you know he is a preferred walk on? Probably just a commit like any kid |
Come on. Gonna be deep on the depth chart. |
both him and the SSDM from Prep will be deep on the 60-man roster. |
So many players who were great in HS never see the field but some who are under rated flourish at the next level. Statements like this just sound like you have an issue with a HS player. Sad. Sorry your DC did not get D1 looks. Lay off those who earned it. |
heard a rumor that 1 - 2 kids from SJC are now looking to transfer into Prep this Fall. |
Whatever happened to the supposed "Bullis" players who were transferring into Prep |
Any word on that? Was it fake news or wishful thinking. They (Bullis) did have a SSDM transfer back to public. |
The SSDM hardly played for Bullis.
Bullis should contend next Spring |
Fake news. The Bullis kid will be lighting it up this spring…. |
100% are getting a few St. John’s players. The staff can’t develop players. They know it. They poach kids. Look at their face off guys and their best attackman in the last 10 years. All transfers. |
I'm not going going to deny that the SJC coaching staff has a reputation for poaching players from other private school programs. Its no secret that Speaks & Co are not really well-liked by area coaching staffs. With that being said, the two best attackmen to come out of the SJC program in the past decade have been with the Cadets program since freshman year, TJ Haley and Ryan Dunkel. As for the FOGO comment, wasn't Weller at IMG for a year during the COVID year? Everyone knew he was most likely going to transfer back home once things opened back up. |
any news, or timeline, or even a credible rumor about the new PVI coach? |
I don’t think prep can talk as they tried to poach players from Bullis this summer. Everyone apparently does it. |
They do a great job at developing players. Look at the 22 class that came in as freshman. The best example might be the close defenseman that was WCAC first team this year who had to wait behind the 22 class. I am sure he competed and developed along side those players in practice for three years and then performed when he got his chance his senior year. You can also look at how SJC plays more players mid to late season than at the beginning. That shows development and pointed out by Bob Shriver during their game against St. Anthony’s two seasons ago. |
Prep loves to throw mud at SJC's program, but in reality, Urick and his coaching staff are doing the exact same thing when it comes to recruiting/poaching. Hopefully GP coaching staff picks up the phone this Fall when Speaks inquires about a game next season. |
