Anyone who thinks Trump will not steal their social security is an idiot.
Vote Blue all the way down that ballot. |
And what we are saying is the article you linked doesn’t demonstrate an opposition to women’s reproductive rights. If my daughter needed/wanted an abortion I sure as eff wouldn’t want a midwife performing it. |
You don't think a nurse can prescribe 2 pills? |
You sound like a total LWNJ. |
Are you really that stupid so as to think all abortions are as easy as taking pills?! |
Hogan's veto actually does demonstrate an opposition to women's reproductive rights. The law (vetoed by Hogan, overriden by the General Assembly) allows nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and physician assistants to be abortion providers. It doesn't require or force anybody to use a nurse practitioner, nurse midwife, or physician assistant as their abortion provider. |
In 2023, 63% of abortions in the US were medication abortions. I.e., pills. |
Which is... not what the bill Higan vetoed is about. The vast majority of abortions are medication based, there was no reason to restrict those to physicians. |
And again I have no problem with only physicians being abortion providers. It does not prevent someone from getting an abortion to only allow physicians to be abortion providers. |
It actually does. And again, this is not about your personal opinions. You are not on the ballot. This is about Hogan's actions. |
Lol as a voter my opinion actually matters greatly. |
Bear with me, as math isn’t my forte, but that still leaves another 37% of abortions that cannot be provided through use of a pill only. I have no issue with ensuring the care provided to those women is done by a physician. |
Eh. As a voter, your opinion matters exactly as much as any other voter, no more, no less. |
No, it doesn't. It leaves another 37% of abortions that were not medication abortions. I prefer to allow medical professionals to make the decisions about who is qualified to be an abortion provider. Which is kind of the point of the whole thing, actually. The decision should be made by the pregnant person and the medical professional. |
Not to mention the PP is ignoring the insurance requirement. Making women pay out of pocket for abortion care when they have health insurance is pretty sick. |
