Wait, you think it is wrong to acknowledge that the US has never been a place of equality and liberty for ALL of its inhabitants? The truth hurts too much to learn and become better? |

Does Newsome have the cohones to ban the class in California is response to the revisions? The college board caved because they didn't want the class excluded from one of the largest states in the country, California could easily make that decision much more painful. |

The controversial subjects have been made into options for a research project. This makes more sense than being a part of the required curriculum. College Board improved the class with these revisions. |
DP. Those weren't the controversial parts of the AA Studies class. What point are you trying to make? |
|
Well done Florida!! |
You are probably the same person who would scream about Campus Free Expression. All of those subjects are discussed in the Black community. The class is about the discussion, not indocrination. |
The controversial-and-now-optional subjects are not Black issues, they are progressive issues. It's a bit insulting to tack them onto an AA Studies class, tbh. |
It certainly is. Quite ironic that DeSantis is actually protecting AA Studies. |
They are only controversial to white people of privilege who have used their power to degrade the class experience. The fact you cannot understand the point made previously is a tell. |
See, that's the propaganda which is your right to believe but not to teach in public schools. Thanks Florida! Looks like AP just got rid of the bs to preserve the AA Studies part. |
| Florida cancel culture! No reading certain authors because we white people disagree with them! Freedom of thought and freedom of discussing not allowed! |
You wokies are crazy...good that Florida gave you a fight, and better that it won. |
