^ Interesting.... this is from today on CDC website:
Community Transmission Substantial Everyone in Arlington County, Virginia should wear a mask in public, indoor settings. Mask requirements might vary from place to place. Make sure you follow local laws, rules, regulations or guid |
I just checked and the CDC community level is low. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/covid-by-county.html |
Yep, but on their data tracker it says otherwise. So frustrating. https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#county-view?list_select_state=Virginia&data-type=Risk&list_select_county=51013 ![]() |
I don’t ynderstand how VDH and CDC could be so far off on case rates?! |
Unmask people, in clench. I saw Arlingtonians wearing masks outside today. You win you are morally superior. |
What is it to you? Get over it. Let people be. |
They won’t if they are vaccinated AND asymptomatic. But it’s very easy to be symptomatic. My first symptom was constant sneezing, so we might see more close contacts who are symptomatic as we head into allergy season, in which case they have to quarantine or provide evidence that they don’t have COVID |
Yeah, I've never considered myself morally superior just because I have a child with health risk factors who is under 5. ![]() |
People are conflating seven day average new cases per day with seven day total new case numbers. |
No. Look at the posted reports above. CDC site says 7 day avg is 93/100k while VDH site says 11/100k. |
Yes, that’s the total cases/100k total for 7 days only a day or two behind. 93 divided by 7 = 13.2. |
Is one using the pre-Feb 25 way and one is the "current" way to calculate? |
Yes substantial is no longer a category. It’s low medium and high. They are still updating their website it seems. |
That's still not accurate. If you scroll down on the Arlington County page today, they say that the total cases over the last 7 days 202. |
This is what's frustrating... which source is correct? It shouldn't be that difficult to have one source of data that is used consistently. |
