He's probably not keen on Americans marrying the BRF.

I think it’s more like he’s not keen on bright, smart women. I don’t see anyone in his orbit that he’s close to whose anything like Meghan. His closest non-titled buddies are all football lads.

Meghan has been acting pretty dumb this week. Fleeing the country? SMH

Smart to remove the baby from the Queen’s easy reach. And why linger in the U.K. when there was nothing positive for her to do there. If she had stayed, the haters would claim she was interfering.

Meghan was smart. Because of the Queen's legal rights over Archie, it was best to get him out of the UK before announcing that you are leaving. The Queen has the legal authority to stop you from removing minor family members from the country.

That is so paranoid and absurd. The queen wouldn't be taking Archie. lf that were Meghan's concern, she certainly wouldn't be moving to a country where she is not even a citizen. How would that protect her?

You should put your imagination to better use than this PP.

You're not addressing a rational person.

The Queen's had grandkids living out of the UK before. Peter Phillips lived in Hong Kong for a while and Canada too, I believe.

Baby Archie is not important in the scheme of things. The Queen is not a vindictive old lady. Harry and Meghan have cut themselves from the rest of the royals, and that's their future. No one is being vindictive about it. I'm sure there's some disappointment, and probably private unhappiness over Meghan. But we all know this marriage isn't going to last. Archie will end up a spoiled Hollywood brat after the divorce.

DP. Okay, the idea that the Queen isn't vindictive is hilarious. Have you watched the BRF at all for the last 50 years?

DP. The person who brought up the queen and Diana's children and Fergie's children is stuck decades in the past. As are you, I guess.

Times change, the world changes, the queen and the BRF changes.

+1 Archie is NOT important to the throne, and there is no importance to having him in the UK. Sorry, but the one who matters is Prince George. And Archie is even less important now that William has two other kids. Princess Eugenie (who, is 10th in line for the throne, but was 6th until the Cambridge kids were born in her mid-20s...Archie is 7th, so it's a reasonable comparison) was allowed to move to New York City for a while.

By the way, European royals that are not directly in the line of succession have a tradition of moving to other countries to marry their royalty. Prince Philip was a Greek prince before he married Elizabeth.

It's interesting to a couple of rabid MM haters on here.

I'm in Canada. I didn't see coverage of this charity visit.

The discussions I'm hearing and seeing is about not paying for their security. That's it.

+1

I’m Canadian. It’s mainly mostly conservative politicians who are voicing concern over the financials of their security, etc. The Globe article quoted earlier is a more conservative newspaper, and opinion pieces tend to reflect that.

The Prime Minister has also voiced that as a Commonwealth nation, it is our responsibility to protect them. Most people I know don’t really have an opinion either way as to them living here, and I certainly haven’t heard anything negative about it.

The Globe & Mail is hardly conservative and just put out an editorial insisting that Canada can't be the home for royals who need a "halfway house".

Or gold diggers.

All he has to do is look at his wife and his wife’s sister for that.

Even if this was true, at least they had the sense to aim high. A billionaire who owns half of st barths and the future king of England? Much better than a price with a measly $30 Mil.

I’ve posted before. My close friend was MM’s publicist before she was on suits. She told her, verbatim, “I will do whatever you tell me to do. I just want to be rich and famous”.

I mean sorta. I would never want to have sex with Pippa’s husband or William in a million years. They’re so gross.

Pippa's husband looks like a typical upper-class Brit.

Canada is a separate legal system from the UK, so you have some protection there and it is an easily trip to have game the baby to th e US if you need an American court for more protection. And it's a good PR compromise for Harry. He's in a Commonwealth country, but not the UK

Custody issues don't come up unless in divorce proceedings. The Cambridges travel with their children internationally all the time.

It seems that both Diana and Fergie had ample access to their children. Diana would have even more if she didn't prefer to hang out in Mediterranean with rich Arabs.

The woman has zero ethics.

I'm sorry but what person going into acting would not want to be "rich and famous" otherwise, why go into acting? For the love of it? LOL. People who just act for the love it, do so in theatre or on stage. People who want to be rich and famous go to the big or small screen. Period. Stop trying to vilify her for that, unless you hold similar opinions about every single person in Hollywood or on television.

If the Queen was really vindictive, she would have faked a heart attack, and that would forever destroy Harry and Meghan's reputation in the media.

They came from wealth, they married into very great wealth. BTW, is Kate planning to hawk the royal name for millions?

No they came from a flight attendant and party supply store owner who put every pound into private school so they could land rich husbands.

Meanwhile Uncle Garry financed it and after it worked the son-in-laws paid for their house and $20,000 a week vacations in the West Indies.

Jealous much?

Telling the truth. I don’t see any difference between Meghan, Kate and Pippa. Except Meghan had to work in her 20s while the other two did nothing but club hop.

They all married well. If I’m jealous of anything it’s their beauty.

+100

I also think that Kate and Pippa are gold diggers for different reasons. They’re really lifting their whole family through their marriages. All of the Middleton’s are always out frolicking on Pippa’s Husband’s beach. And her husband invests in her dumb brother’s business. Meanwhile, William helps them finance upgrades to their house and gives them aristocratic clout. I’m sure their business was very successful at one time but I highly doubt that is still the case seeing as most of similar business have struggled or gone out of business. Also, wealthy parents don’t take money from their sons in law for any reason.

Why do you post "+100" and then completely disagree with the sentiment of the post you are quoting? You are an idiot as well as a mean spirited, jealous shrew.

Sounds like all the hard work and effort they put into their kids worked better than they could ever have imagined. Kudos to them. The rest of us can only hope to be so lucky in our efforts.

DP. I would not want Kate's life for my daughter. Not in a million years.

Why? They seem like a very happy family.

Do you seriously imagine that Canada would go up against the queen of england for someone who is not even a Canadian citizen? Why would they do that?

All he cares about is having a discreet team player on the rooster. Guessing he had doubts on both counts.

Discreet means taking a lot of press abuse and never, ever mentioning William's affairs with other women.

It’s ok, she tried and crumbled on the big stage. Best for both to focus on their family and building something on their own rather than try to one up the in-laws.

Princess Madeline of Sweden is married to an American and currently lives in Miami. Her husband declined to give up his US citizenship in exchange for a Swedish title.

Well, if he weren't married -- I think William is really handsome and fit and intelligent, and a good guy as well. I would date him in a heartbeat.

RE: MM's comment, if true -- so what. We were all young and foolish once. Before she was on Suits? That's water under the bridge. Clearly.

This. They haven't figured out what exactly that is yet, but that's okay. It takes a while for most of us.
