The post natal body thread has inspired me. I have a special needs little one so can't use child care at the gym. I don't have the space for equipment, but I need to do something at home since I'm starting to get that 40s flab and muscle loss. I'm looking for a DVD that isn't too long and helps me strength train. Any recommendations? Would love something I could use 2xs a week, has multiple workouts and isn't more than 25 min. Maybe something with kettlebells?

30 day shred is a good place to start. 25 min video. all you need is hand weights and about 6 feet of space. Here's level 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8 You can start today. No excuses!
I have 30 day shred. Thanks though! I really want something more weight lifting focused. If that makes sense. We have an elliptical I use for cardio.
I've had good results with Lindsay brinn. Short, effective workouts.
Nike Training Club app. Free, syncs with your music and excellent!
Try Jeri Love - her Get Ripped and Ripped and Chiseled videos helped me tone up.
I agree! I'm always recommending Jari Love on here--good to see there is another fan!
Jari's videos are typically longer than 25 minutes though. Some of them can be broken in to two segments, but still they would generally be at least 30 minutes. |
I use the kettleworx DVDs. They sound exactly like what you're looking for. There's 3 DVDs, one for cardio, one for resistance and one for abs and each DVD has 6 workouts. You do one workout from each DVD once a week and they're about 25 minutes long. You definitely don't need a lot of space. I would buy the kettle bells in a store if you go this route bc the shipping charge if you order them along with the DVDs is ridiculous.
