Incidentally, I also sent my personal concierge physician to Gaza to see if he could serve others, or at least place signs in the rubble reading "Internet voices are calling for the hostages to be released!", to no avail. I then contacted my elected representatives here in the States and called for the hostages to be released, but their call center staff members just laughed at me and said, almost verbatim across calls to multiple field and D.C. offices, "Ma'am, we're already doing more for Israel than any nation has ever before done for an ally in the history of human civilization. What more do you want us to do? Literally introduce a constitutional amendment to officially change the name of the country from United States of America to Israel's chump? Really - what more are you asking us to do? Whatever it is, we have to run it past our AIPAC guy anyway, so don't count on anything."

The basic meaning of Zionism differs depending on the type of Zionist you are talking about. Some simply believe it means Israel has the right to exist which is probably where the majority of people lie in and there’s no controversy with this statement or belief at all.

Yes. This. I simply do not see a possibility of peace in the region in my lifetime. My heart breaks for the children of Gaza who have lost family and limbs. My heart hurts for the PTSD, feature, and inherited trauma that Israelis are living with that result in them referring to Palestinians as “human animals” and other dehumanizing language and not being able to see that while the hostages are victims, they are not the only victims in this situation.
