| But have you called for the hostages to be released? |
But Benghazi! But yellow cake uranium! But centrifuges! But annihilation! But my DS had to be escorted back to his dorm because he was scared of the protesting! But never again! But on and on and on. Yes, I called for the hostages to be released. Now what? Incidentally, I also sent my personal concierge physician to Gaza to see if he could serve others, or at least place signs in the rubble reading "Internet voices are calling for the hostages to be released!", to no avail. I then contacted my elected representatives here in the States and called for the hostages to be released, but their call center staff members just laughed at me and said, almost verbatim across calls to multiple field and D.C. offices, "Ma'am, we're already doing more for Israel than any nation has ever before done for an ally in the history of human civilization. What more do you want us to do? Literally introduce a constitutional amendment to officially change the name of the country from United States of America to Israel's chump? Really - what more are you asking us to do? Whatever it is, we have to run it past our AIPAC guy anyway, so don't count on anything." |
What do they live on now? They don’t really care. They’ll be happy to see bones in the sea as they’re living life. TikTok shows how evil even young liberal Israelis truly are. They didn’t have all this chutzpah toward the germans or the Russians only the Arabs who make up like 99% of their neighbors. It’s illogical and it makes no sense but there’s Israel for you. If they killed every Palestinian there is even in the West Bank, how does that help Israel in its neighborhood? They wanted to move there. Nobody forced them. |
|
It’s like Americans killing every Mexican there is in Mexico and then bragging about the 10-20% Mexican American population.
We’re surrounded by Latin American countries so how is that a smart strategy? |
Worst analogy in the long, sordid and disappointing history of DCUM analogies. |
Israel had been out of Gaza for twenty years. Until Palestinians invaded and committed all those atrocities in a single morning. Look, Israel spent decades trying for a two state solution. And Palestinians are clearly not interested in two states. They want Hamas and an Islamic theocracy. There's not a lot of space here for some kind of peaceful, common sense negotiation. Palestinians made their choices. And it's sad and pathetic. It's like the ISIS wives stuck in refugee camps in Syria. I don't know. Maybe don't marry the terrorists. And that's what Palestinians are - the ISIS wives. Absolutely no one wants them, so they are stuck because they made some really stupid choices. |
Blockade. Land, sea, air. No matter how many times uninformed voices like yours whisper down the lane with tired, blatantly dishonest propaganda about Israel seeking a two-state solution, the fact is that Zionists have only ever wanted ALL of the land. |
Just a heads up. Y'all need to lose the Zionist terminology. 98 percent of Americans believe Israel has a right to exist. And as for those 2 percent? It's usually Charlottesville tiki torch marchers. You should all wear a hood or something so you can find each other. Or maybe a special arm band. |
Oh, c’mon now - nobody believes that THAT is what Zionism ideology is actually about. It’s actually about shoving the myth of Jewish supremacy down the throat of everyone in its path (“But we’re the chosen people!”), it’s about relentlessly provoking conflict with Israel’s neighbors for the purpose of expanding the dimensions of the state, and it’s especially about exploiting useful idiots like you to slander anyone who dares to call it like it is. There ain’t nobody on this planet better suited to wear a white hooded robe than modern day Zionists. Acts of blatant, violent racism and brutal subjugation of others “beneath” them might as well be scenes portrayed on the shekel. As for the tiki torches - ah, makes sense - is that part of the light into nations nonsense we keep hearing about? |
I think the worst were the antisemitic ones but if you don’t want to engage with my comparison fine. |
The basic meaning of Zionism differs depending on the type of Zionist you are talking about. Some simply believe it means Israel has the right to exist which is probably where the majority of people lie in and there’s no controversy with this statement or belief at all. Then, there’s the Zionists who believe Jews have the right to rule over others, kill non Jews, steal from non Jews, and that apparently this is all kosher because they are Gods chosen people personally delivered some oil less “promise land” because Moses wandered the desert for 40 days or something and entered (in Gaza ironically) from the Sinai. These Zionists are often religious zealots/extremists and unfortunately those are the brilliant minds leading Israel right now especially despite the anger of the Israeli public last year. This is the most right wing nut Israeli government ever in its history and they’re also homophobic, sexist, and racist as well. Netanyahu has two extremists he deals with: Hamas and the settlers/ultra Zionist zealots. For some reason though, moderate Zionists who simply believe Israel deserves to exist blame Gazans for electing Hamas in 2006 yet they don’t say a word about Bibi or ask that same election question to the Israeli public. Why keep the extremists in? It’s because both sides see the utility in crazy to keep the other sides crazy out (Gazans don’t want the settlers and Hamas pre-10/7 protected against that, and Israelis didn’t want two state solution with a Palestinian army so the crazies protected against that) |
| The way to excise crazy from having a political voice or future is solidarity movements and trust but I think trust is broken on both ends |
Yes. This. I simply do not see a possibility of peace in the region in my lifetime. My heart breaks for the children of Gaza who have lost family and limbs. My heart hurts for the PTSD, feature, and inherited trauma that Israelis are living with that result in them referring to Palestinians as “human animals” and other dehumanizing language and not being able to see that while the hostages are victims, they are not the only victims in this situation. |
Actually, Zionists believe Israel has a right to exist. That's Zionism. |
If that were true they could have eliminated all of Palestine long ago. We know who wants all of the land, they are not shy about saying so - you and the rest of the “from the river to sea” terrorists. |
