And I'm probably one of few who will admit:
--not gifted --doesn't "need" the program (though current curriculum is way too easy) --isn't bored (and has never been bored in school) --is still learning (and has learned every year we've been in school) |
| So what? |
You do realize that you have the option of not sending your kid to AAP curriculum, right? But give a serious thought before deciding not to send your little one to AAP. |
|
Congratulations?
|
| If you want him to stay in his base school, do so. He'll do fine in high school. |
| I think my kid will be offered a spot and I don't plan to send him! So, there! |
+1. (my first thought also). |
|
Insufferable.
Does your child also suffer from an overindulged sense of ethical superiority? Believe it or not, there are lots of us (parents of kids who are in AAP) who don't think our kid is gifted.
|
Perhaps in AAP in general, but not so much on these boards, however. |
|
| It's a shame because my DD is bored in AAP...not challenging enough. |
|
Only boring people get bored. |
| Indeed, It has been slowed down for marginal aap students. |
No, I'll admit these things, too. Your kid is most definitely not gifted or need this program. That's pretty obvious. So, knowing these things, I'm confident you'll do the right thing and decline the invitation, correct? |
