Are these "old lady-ish"?

I can't wear heels. Thought I would do a low platform, and I like the look of cork. I'm early 40s, a teacher. My life is not glamorous, so if you don't like these and want to suggest an alternative, please keep that in mind. And can't do $$$. No heels!

TIA

I would not wear them, sorry. They look frumpy to me. It's not the heel it's the straps. Just boring and common. Also the color.

Very old ladyish. Its the straps. Maybe if the heel was higher it would work.

NP. Black is a basic. What do you want, hot pink?

Well, yes, they do look old lady-ish. That doesn't have to be a bad thing, it is what it is if you want to wear them. I'm picturing your sporting them with capris & a solid colored t-shirt from Loft. Not that there is anything wrong with that if you don't mind that look.

Much better.

OP here again. Just to be clear, I intended the link to show the first pair in black.

2nd pair is pretty cute! (Not a fan of the first one in any color)

And how do they look on her?

The first paid is very old-ladyish, regardless of the color. Second pair you posted is much better.

The Parkers are better than your first suggestion! Go with those.
