I really do not like the white lace. I think that silhouette is very juvenile and not flattering on anyone, and white lace is rarely anyone’s best choice unless you are being married or baptized. Sometimes a young woman can get away with it if it’s a beachy kind of vibe. A white lace top with pants, yes. Full white lace dress, almost never yes.

Completely agree. It looks like a wedding dress for the older bride. Also, Jill looks as if she has gained weight. Or maybe the white dress is just really unflattering?

Yes, someone also mentioned weight gain in the blue tablecloth dress. Body armor underneath?

Back again just to say that if the white lace was a fitted button down top paired with wide-ish (not super wide) dressy pants in a pretty color, she could even get away with those odd gold shoes as her “flair.” I would like that look on her.

I don’t love the gold metallic wedges and big earrings at all.

This look screams “Dallas.” The white lace, 70s relaxed silhouette, feathered hair, gold earrings and tan. Where are we going with this? She’s First Lady for Christ-sake. You have to wonder what statement she’s trying to make or who she’s trying to appeal to.

When is the last time you were in Dallas? The look screams Ft. Worth, maybe. But not Dallas.

Um, pretty sure she meant the 80s TV show

That is accurate, then. She does look like Miss Ellie with Farrah Fawcett hair.

😁😁

Miss ellie has helmet hair, not the same...jill biden has more movement in her hair than that. Hair does thin for a lot of us as we age, still think she looks great

Oh man, I love her but the white lace midi dress made me want to cry and that was before I saw the gold sandals. Do better, Jilly!

The dress, eh.

The earrings,

The hair,

Combo of above:

Jill, I offer up my own DD22 to be your stylist.

DD is brutally honest but with a keen eye. It cracks me up to shop with her - DD will forcibly remove an item from my hand and place it back on the rack with a, “No, Mom!” Or I’ll hold up a dress with a hopeful look and DD from across the store will roll her eyes and I’ll sheepishly put it back.

DD can be hilariously snarky but she has never led me astray! I will ask DD to please edit my closet and within five minutes, she’ll have removed several items and placed them in a bag to donate, all the while saying, “outdated. Ugh. Never wear.”

I’m going to show DD Jill’s looks and see what she thinks.

While you are at it, ask your DD to select a few photos of women Jill’s age who are dressed/groomed appropriately. I’d be interested to hear her opinion.

Like 80s feathered hair met a table cloth I saw in Tijuana in the 80s.

She has a pretty face, thin figure. She just needs a great wardrobe stylist. And hair.

I remember HRC with her headband and frumpy long skirts. But not long after becoming first lady, she upped her wardrobe and hair and looked good.

I think Jill looks fine.

Off topic but does Brigitte Macron wear a wig?

Yes, I couldn’t remember her first name but I was going to comment that her hair looks like a wig whereas Jill’s Farrah hair is definitely real.

Today.

Not a fan of the dress or the red bow belt that doesn't go with the dress or flatter her.
Looks more like something one would wear on a nice spring day.
