It's the Economy Stoopid

What is the U6, the shadow unemployment? How many people are just giving up entirely?

how many continued unemployment claims do we have? How many people are now permanently out of work? How many people are not paying their rent/mortgage?

The unemployment monies are so large in my circle in Maryland (eastern shore), those unemployed are flying down to Miami to get plastic surgery as they have so much money that has hit their "card".

A current friend is heading down to Miami for 6 weeks to have her plastic surgery done with her unemployment money.

Saw a Biden ad in which he wants to lower cost of health insurance.

Sorry Dude, you and Obama raised my health insurance
from $250 with a $2500 deductible to $790 with a $7000 deductible. THis is the cheapest plan in my state on your affordable heath care plan website.

Your "affordable" health insurance plan made my health insurance unaffordable under the affordable health care act.

Still seeing help wanted signs everywhere in my town in Maryland.

Historically you never see help wanted signs in my town.

I think people are still coasting on unemployment.

I've been over to Ocean City twice. Parking lots were full.
Families seemed to be spending money. I saw plenty of families with kids out on a holiday.

If they have given up they are not looking. There are help wanted signs everywhere in my Maryland town.

You are leaving out the part where the Tea Party and then Marco Rubio sabatoged fixes that would have made the ACA much more efficient.

You wouldn't have health insurance without this. Also, it covered preexisting conditions. That's not the case anymore. So good luck if you lose your insurance and have a preexisting condition. But sure, blame Obama and Biden. Where's Trump's plan to address this again?

You understand the concept of a singular anecdote versus national data, right?

Wow, some troll or bot is really trying hard.

Sorry, the economy is not good. The Fed just said so. You need to find some other angle to blow Trump, like herd mentality or something.

U6 in August was 14.3%, down from 16.8% in July and 22.8% at its peak in April 2020.

Grinding better every month yet the left continues the narrative.

So Trump is going to make the ECONOMY the cornerstone in swing states, now that the "Law&Order" has fallen flat.

The thing is, HE is causing the problem, between COVID and tariffs, the failure of family farms in Wisconsin, the continued erosion of manufacturing jobs in Michigan and Pennsylvania, and I could go on. Bring it on, the numbers don't lie.

We have contracting GDP, double digit unemployment, permanent job losses and the total failure of the hospitality sector.
