Why would you care? If it is not them it will be someone else.

It's not even negative in my opinion (unless you are a Montessori purist). Those threads significantly predate the opening of Lee. This is not something that you can blame Lee parents for.

That said I know several Lee parents who applied to LAMB last year because they valued the language immersion and they aren't hung up on having the most authentic Montessori experience.

Yet again, Lee is being bashed unfairly and without basis.

I always bash LAMB for being Montessori lite and I frequently post about this. I think LAMB is a joke and its parents are clueless re: real Montessori. I am NOT a Lee parent but am a Montessori purist. I commend Lee and Shining Stars (even though they regrettably went AMS as opposed to AMI).

Sure. Exactly what I was saying. Why would you ever go to Lee and encounter winners like PP? Obviously you are a Lee parent because I've read your posts before where you bash lamb.

Sad that you're so insecure.

I'm not Sad PP you are responding to but I guess I am also sad because Ive commented on LAMB not being real Montessori on this board before. I've never used "Montessori lite" though and I don't consider it to be bashing. Just facts.

That's because you're crazy.

Different poster here.

Here's the deal: go do some research about Montessori so that you truly understand the method and the approach and then visit LAMB, Shining Stars, Lee and Logan and come to your own conclusions. You too can work out if LAMB is true to the Montessori method or loosely based on it, and then you can further decide whether you think this is a positive or a negative thing. Likewise, look at Lee/Shining Stars/Logan and work out if they are true to the Montessori method and whether or not that is a positive or negative thing. It's straight forward. I can guarantee that if you learn about Montessori you will come to the same conclusions about which schools are pure Montessori and which are not, but different people have different views about whether this is a good or a bad thing depending on how much they value Montessori vs. other aspects of the school. Fact. not bashing anyone.

Because a school community isn't something you tear down and rebuild every year, like a bad mcmansion kitchen.

Apologies. I misunderstood. I thought you were referring to potential PK3ers for next year.

That said, having had a child attend Appletree for a year before moving to her long-term school beginning in PK4, it took about 2 days for us to feel and be part of the community at the new school.

Lee parent here. This thread was started to speculate about where Lee will be next year, and it has turned into a below-the-belt fight between a few posters about what "montessori" means, and on the culture at the school. Those posters do not speak for an entire school, nor do they represent any other group. If you are reading this thread, and are looking for information about Lee Montessori and what it might be like there, please do not use this thread as information with which to base your opinion or decision. Visit the school, and you will see a wonderful community of staff, parents and kids.

I'm the PP referred to as crazy above. I do t understand why LAMB folks are so hypersensitive about it. It doesn't mean LAMBbisbt a good school or even perfect - for YOUR family. But the fact remains is that they are loss elf based in Montessori, NOT Montrssori. If you don't care about Montessori or accreditation or any of that why does it bother you morons so much to hear the truth? You all are he sad and crazy ones.

Did Word Salad and Montessori Lite have a baby? I can't understand anything. Montessori Lite, take a break, put your feet up. I think you short-circuited.

Actually I am who you have identified as Montessori Lite and I did not put up the above post. It is so comforting to know that there are multiple posters who get that LAMB is Montessori lite. By the way I think the poster was a victim of auto correct.

Glad this is what fulfills you in life, getting on a website to constantly post that a school is not up to your Montessori standards.

I am so over Lee threads. School looks worse every single time Lee thread come up (IMO).

No that was you again. Again you're lying. You use the same phrases over and over.

Agreed. Also many if not most people find strict Montessori to be a turn-off. Do your own research, but being called Montessori light is actually considered a positive by many if not most parents.

Lets get back on topic people, which means stop posting

I don't think there is much hope in getting back on topic so I'll put this thread to rest.
