| ... one or two parents of likely counseled out kids who are unable move on. They would get satisfaction had enrollment gone down and the school is closed. It is so sad.. |
| You can keep up the excuses all you want. Enrollment for the fall is in the the 230's. The problems go beyond a few angry parents. |
How many times will you write this? Once every day? Once every hour? Any minute you have time to take a look at DCUM? |
People who are bitter like this are the ones people usually become wary of. I know that when someone gossips about another, it says more about the one doing the gossip than the one being gossiped about. I like to make up my own mind and find that people who are so emotionally skewed never can give one a true picture of the situation. It is sad that they can hide behind this forum and attack others so publicly. |
You provide no real proof, just hearsay. Why should I listen to you? |
From my family's experience, that has been the problem at WES. No one wants to listen and address concerns, so we voted with our feet. |
+ us, a long time ago. For the same reasons under a different head. Over the years I saw many of my kids' classmates pull out for the same reasons. I wish we had pulled out sooner. So for those who keep saying there are only one or two derogatory posters are just wrong - I don't know anyone who left WES happy. For the fun of it, I pulled out the directory from our first year at the school and counted. There were 331 children then, and now you say the "target" is 300? And only 225 enrolled? Whoa. And from what I've read above, absolutely nothing has been done to change the punitive environment my children were in. Quite simple, some of these teachers should not be teaching young, impressionable children. |
I guess the PP just provided some. |

Agreed, WES-basher should back off and wait until the enrollment numbers are announced. Of course next year in May-June he/she can always resurface just like last year in another thread.
Nevertheless for the poster who claims to have voted by feet and keep repeating the same message over and over again: why cannot you move on? Why do you have so strong ties with the school? |
I don't know who is right or wrong in this debate since the numbers have not been released, but if the pro-WES camp is right and enrollment is the same or higher, the anti-WES people on this thread will appear bitter and untruthful. If the anti-WES people are right and enrollment has dropped significantly, then the pro-WES people will look desperately out of touch with their own school. Time will tell either way. |
Well, we had a recent experience (left after this year), and our family was treated very poorly despite giving both time and a generous amount of money to the school. No, our child was not counseled out. The problems were a mean and punitive teacher (that was the last straw), parent-run board, weak headmaster, and Elementary Head that seems to protect those teachers (in my opinion). |
