ICE Shooting in Minneapolis

Anonymous
The people in Minnesota are now throwing snowballs at ICE. it’s turning into a mess.

CNN says they're throwing them at local police.

DHS is probably hiding in their hotels that we all pay for.

Didn’t the major accelerating happen after she was shot?

Kent state except people defending it. They didn't in 1970. Then America sat stunned at they watched the news and saw what we had (briefly) become. But now there is too much hate of other Americans. The right defends this. Not even questioning. Not even saying, how awful but I think the officer must have felt his life threatened. Not even a how awful.

Oh, I remember 1970 and sad to say that yes, a lot of people did defend it. Two years later, my parents were driving me east to college and we visited friends of theirs who had moved to Kent. They said residents were so thankful that the Hells Angels showed up to protect the city from students on Friday prior to the shooting. And at the time of the shooting, I can remember adults saying that the students had no business being where they were when the guard fired. It was a little trickier for the one girl who was GOING TO CLASS when she was killed. And none of the stuff that was happening under Nixon kept him from being re-elected on a law and order ticket.

She was not breaking the law.

If she was impeding ice agents I do believe that is breaking the law.

How?

Impeding or obstructing an ICE agent is a federal crime, potentially leading to felony charges, as ICE officers are federal law enforcement, and interfering with their duties violates laws like 18 U.S.C. § 111

She was not impeding or obstructing. This is clear in the video. This is murder. The ICE officer need to to be brought to justice.

Her car was diagonal in the middle of the street in front of to ICE agents cars. How is that not impeding?

Stop with your bullsh#t. This was murder. ICE is a clear and present danger to every US citizen. The citizens of the US will rise up against you people.

No matter who you think is right or wrong, the way the government is presenting this is very 1984. Trump says this agent was severely injured and had to be hospitalized and everyone can see that isn’t true.

However, it's not punishable by immediate execution.

Of course it is. Go try something like this against a DC police officer and see what happens. The ICE agents were clearly threatened and had every right to defend themselves.

We will one day find out.

I’ve watched all of the posted video clips. The way those men move, the way they shout ‘get the F out of the car’ and reach in to grab her, the shooting, the way the murderer pulled his neck warmer higher up to cover his profile: these are very dangerous and angry men, and a part of their anger is pure misogyny. The thread reflects this, “Karens” FAFO, and so forth. It is terrifying to me.

It’s working on me. I am afraid to protest. I have only one chance to mother and parent my DC, and I want a better world. The fear is working on me. This woman had an enshrined right to protest in 1A, was given contradictory orders, and was murdered in day light. All of the clowns laughing about this here and insisting it was self-defense, my god. Look at the rage that man felt, look at how entitled he was to kill when she was pulling away, and following at least one order. Would any of us not feel terrified to be a citizen and thus presumably not being subject to arrest on an immigration charge, surrounded by shouting and swearing and heavily armed men? Who are we anymore?

Your right to protest does not include using your vehicle to block public roads, block law enforcement, and emergency personnel, and run your car into officers. I haven’t seen a video that I find to be completely clear what exactly happened between her car and the officer. But extending your right to protest to think you’re entitled to take your personal car and block roads is wrong. It increases your chance of being arrested (since it is illegal) and apparently killed.

That is 100% not what the DC police is trained to do, you imbecile.

It had to be from the videos I've watched, no doubt because her foot became dead weight on the pedal. But also, the trajectory of the vehicle suggests to me that she had steered to make the turn (which would have avoided the officer) and the path of the vehicle (to me) indicates that's the general direction it was heading. It didn't end up in someone's yard and it didn't turn in a circle. Gravity would keep the foot on the pedal and cause the arms to drop from the wheel.

In the video it looks like there was a white ruck in front of her blacking the road which she was trying to drive around. Is it clear why that white truck was there and who is belongs to?

I’ve only seen one video. I don’t have an X account and haven’t seen the other videos posted anywhere.

You cannot judge an injury from a video. I have seen patients in car accidents get up and walk away, and die hours later from internal injuries. I agree the injury didn’t look awful, but my opinion of how it looked means literally nothing.

She was not executed in any way shape or form. Her car was a deadly weapon that was aimed at (and actually hit) a federal officer. He did not have time to aim. He shot to neutralize the threat. Which is what he is trained to do.
