Showgirl has taken a few listens but now I’m all in! Opalite is pure joy! I honestly feel bad for anyone who can’t just have fun with this one.

Opal item and Fate of Ophelia are good ones IMO.

I can’t tell them apart. It all sounds like regurgitated Sabrina Carpenter music.
When Taylor was promoting a modern twist on Ophelia’s fate, I hoped the heroine would come to her senses and gain some character strength and agency. Nope, a man has to swoop in and save her from drowning in melancholy, just like men drove her to drown in the original story. And not any man, but a dimwit whose main allure is his wood.
How dull.

Now do Father Figure where she talks about her big dick.

The woman found her person and bought her art back for 320 million bucks which she made from her 2 billion dollar tour based on her talent and hard work. May we all be so blessed.

Please stfu

Opalite lyrics sounds like she's anti-black people. The onyx nights giving way to opalite. Travis had black girlfriends and now is with a white girl (after trying to snag a black star, Meghan The Stallion). That's how it reads to me.

Not a fan of this MAGA album.

NP. Or onyx nights because like…it’s dark at night? And it’s Megan Thee Stallion.

I hope they sue her for infringement and get $$$$$

How many times can a middle aged woman her age write juvenile songs about first boyfriends and play dates when you were 8 or 9? It’s beyond creepy.

Her financial success is not your success. A successful tour does not mean her newest material is amazing. Rolling Stones and U2 gross billions on tours and haven’t had a hit record in decades. She’s fallen off. An aging pop star milking her fans fan base.

That's cool but I was referring specifically to the critique of Fate.

Gross she ripped off so many other artists making this album, this is especially disappointing considering all the struggles she had with owning her masters. I wonder how all of this will play out.

Let’s be clear . U2 and Rolling Stones have been very successful but no one has made 2 billion in a single tour. This is not something we need to debate a simple Google search shows that Taylor Swift is the world record holder for 2 billion on a single tour- you are adding up revenue from all Rolling Stones and all of U2 tours from their careers..and they’ve been around hell of a lot longer than Taylor.

Her other tours have done phenomenally well so if you add them to eras I’m sure that gets her into 3 billion and she’s not nearly done. assuming she doesn’t die young, she will continue to tour like Madonna and Cher. Of course, it will never hit the success of the eras tour but probably no one will.

I don’t really care that much about Taylor or the new album but it really it’s not fair when people diminish her success and try to say men have done she’s done. That’s the point, no one else has. It seems to bother the hell out of some people, but it’s just a fact.

And if Taylor is an aging popstar, what exactly is Mick Jagger lol? Who cares how old she is… She’s probably going to be doing this for a long time.

How do you think it will play out? You mean like people suing her?

TS is a middle aged woman who has seen more d's than a urologist. Of course she a size queen. Hotdog in a hallway, as the kids used to say.

Fair, but middle aged?? She’s 35

What in the name of misogyny was that hallway post? It sounded like an Kelce “joke” (I guess in order to stay “relatable” Taylor is going to marry a male chauvinist). And yet you, immediate PP, are choosing to quibble about ‘middle aged?”

What? What? Stop babbling!! 35 is not middle aged no matter how you try to blather explain

If she stole music from lesser known Latino artists while making a big deal on collaborating with George Michael's estate, i hope that comes to light. That would be really messed up!

NP. You’ve taken an earlier poster’s comment of “This reminds me of a song from the 80’s” and turned it, somehow, into illegal copyright infringement against Latino artists. Truly, I think it’s time for you to take a break from this thread.

Hate this album listening with my DS 13 yr old who agrees. She's def changed for the worst and on her way down. There is zero connection between any songs and the title of this album. The cover is weird/dumb and the songs are truly weirdo right wing. I like her older stuff much more. This album seems a bit forced in a way.
