And before you come at me that my DD must have not gotten into a sorority… no, she had no interest. She is in a service club and a hiking group and has wonderful real friends.

So she’s crunchy and boring? Different strokes for different folks. Some people care about their appearance.

Hahaha you totally played into this exactly as I predicted. You can’t help it. And no.You couldn’t be more wrong. DD is gorgeous and fit and part of a meaningful organization that brings her joy and true friendships. Sorry you have to pay for yours.

You described a homely young woman that cares nothing about her appearance and would rather be outside in the woods than socialize in a normal college setting. Now you double back and insist she’s gorgeous and fit and full of meaning. I call BS.

College outing clubs are normal and popular. Put down the hair curler and go outside every once in awhile. You might actually like it.

They are for the kids that don’t fit in elsewhere.

Ha. Let's take the cowboy boot girls on an outing and see how well they fit in.

I wonder what possesses a fully formed adult to put this out into the world.

But I can say that if they would like to go on an outing they will not be excluded. Outing clubs premise is not based on exclusion.

These beautiful women are seizing their moment and living their best lives.

It is a crazy party school. I would bet a thousand dollars these bleached haired girls couldn’t carry on a basic conversation of what’s going on in the world around them. Couldn’t identify Gaza on the map and have no idea what the war is about. A bunch of MAGAS who don't understand how easily democracy can be lost and don’t care as long as they get those icky dark people out of Arizona. They are so easily identified as the simple women that they are. And Fox News posting the video says it all.

Don’t greek orgs do a lot of charity work?

Isn’t that noteworthy?

I'm sure "brains" are the only thing your son cares about in a girl. Hotness is not at all important to him. Or, so he assures you.

Actually hotness is nowhere near the top of his list. We raised him better than that. He focuses on character and brains. He is a brainiac who does not want to be with a shallow dummy! And this is clear from his dating history thus far, thankfully. Future surgeon likely to marry similar.

Sororities typically have a higher average GPA than the campus average. Nice try though.

They don’t. You need at least a 2.5 or 2.75 to be admitted into a sorority. Plus the sorority members are not getting an engineering degree, chemical engineering or any of the hard sciences. They major in psychology or communications or business.

That’s not to say there are some schools that have sororities where the students have high GPAs and difficult majors. It’s just not Arizona.

It is fine. It is not their purpose.

They do have higher GPAs than the campus average. This is easy data to find. Just google a school’s name and Greek GPAs. I looked at this before my daughter rushed.

Also, her chapter requires a 3.0 just to rush. Another chapter requires a 3.3.

They are large southern schools —

Did you expect them tobe Wesleyan

Would you rather run into a bear or a Bama sorority sister in the woods?

Hmm, tough one.

How much time is Fox News spending on the millions and millions of research dollars that have been stripped from universities in the South and elsewhere. War is declared on higher educational in this country while these girls are dancing around with their pom poms.

Sorry but if these social organizations exist to sit in judgment of who is desirable to be admitted and who is not, they had best be able to handle some judgement in return. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
