Amid this backdrop, one weapon in particular features as an outsized symbol of Ukrainian resistance: the Javelin missile.

The unending information, along with the juxtaposition of its varying quality, makes for a complicated social dialogue. Often, though, public discourse parses through this complexity and identifies a more simple narrative. One emerging narrative is that of the material and symbolic importance of the Javelin missile. Among the Stinger missiles, Main Battle Tank and Light Anti-Tank Weapon (NLAWS), and now even Soviet-era Strela missiles, it’s the Javelin that seems to have disproportionately captured public attention. Yes, it is true that Trump sold Javelins to Ukraine. He also stipulated they needed to remain in the western part of the country, away from where the fighting was taking place. So, it was all optics. How is that a win?

When Biden decides to provide Ukraine with what they need, they will be on board.
And, there is the fact that Biden considers the border of Ukraine more important than our own southern border. When is Biden going to start really enforcing the laws that the US has to protect our southern border?

The border happens to be a top issue for voters. Biden has made a mess of it.
You cannot erase 3 1/2 years of essentially open borders. The Senate bill was not a border security bill. It was a migrant processing bill.
We don't need more migrants. We need someone who is not afraid to enforce the laws and take the security of our border seriously. I cannot name one Democrat who would make that happen.

If Biden can’t handle the fact that Trump didn’t shake his hand, how does he handle belligerent foreign leaders? The lack of handshake or psychological warfare shouldn’t rattle the President of the United States.

He has been handling the belligerent foreign leaders just fine. Certainly better than Trump literally bowing to the NK autocrat or looking like a beaten dog after meeting with Putin.

He seems to be doing a fine job of supporting Ukraine despite GOP withholding money for half a year (and Trump would just give Ukraine to Russia), getting the middle east players to the table (when Trump supports the eradication of Palestinians all together) and keeping the 20th Century world order, with the US at the top, intact, when Trump would simply turn it over to Russia and China.

If the border bill was so great, and Biden is such a great president, then why was he not able to negotiate with Congressional Republicans to get it passed? In a country full of cell phone cameras and major media outlets — and as a rapidly changing major conflict — images of the Russian invasion of Ukraine flood television and social media. Twitter serves as a rough chronological catalog of ongoing firefights with various hashtags providing information, with #Ukraine, #UkraineRussiaWar, and #UkraineWar being a few. Amid this backdrop, one weapon in particular features as an outsized symbol of Ukrainian resistance: the Javelin missile.

The unending information, along with the juxtaposition of its varying quality, makes for a complicated social dialogue. Often, though, public discourse parses through this complexity and identifies a more simple narrative. One emerging narrative is that of the material and symbolic importance of the Javelin missile. Among the Stinger missiles, Main Battle Tank and Light Anti-Tank Weapon (NLAWS), and now even Soviet-era Strela missiles, it’s the Javelin that seems to have disproportionately captured public attention. But is the Javelin a divine tool of intervention or simply one of the more effective weapons on battlefields across Ukraine?

Yes, it is true that Trump sold Javelins to Ukraine. He also stipulated they needed to remain in the western part of the country, away from where the fighting was taking place. So, it was all optics. How is that a win?

So the Ukrainians didn’t actually use the javelins? They just carry them around and pose for pictures with them?
