Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba has praised former President Donald Trump for selling Ukraine "the first American weapons." https://www.newsweek.com/trump-praised-first-us-weapons-sale-ukraine-1857509 Trump did approve the sale of Javelin missiles to Ukraine in late 2017, while the country's military continued to fight pro-Russia separatists years after the outbreak of war in February 2014. Some considered the move risky at the time due to fears of provoking Moscow.(That’s why Obama would not sell them javelin. Javelin are a defensive weapon. They could not be near the front lines because Russia would be provoked, damaging the situation further. Javelin are used defensively and were not optics.) Trump sold Ukraine a powerful weapons system Putin did not want Ukraine to have. “Who sold the first American weapons to Ukraine? President Trump - Javelins," Kuleba said. "Who started the program of free transfer of the first naval vessels, Island and Mark-6 type boats to Ukraine? Trump. Who fought Nord Stream 2 and sanctioned the famous but now forgotten Russia's Fortuna vessel that laid this pipeline? It was Trump."” |
Are you drunk or stupid? There has not been a real chance at a bill for decades and yall killed the best chance when McCain tried. Knowing THAT reality (wise man that was to bring back normalcy that he was) Biden should never have sent the signals he did by opening up the border. He poured gas on a really bad situation (wait, what did he do with all 3 branches when he had it?) when he should have known it would lead to calamitous results. Blaming a bad bill after the fact is stupid, cynical or both. |
yes it’s called a shadow government (Obama, cough cough cough) |
Don’t fall for this moron’s nonsense. Biden knew tearing up Trump’s border policies would result in chaos and he also knew he lacked the capacity to pull together a worthwhile border bill. Still, he went forward normalcy be damned. Here we now are. A massive, wealthy and uncontrollable presence at our border making billions selling everything from dangerous drugs to human beings to access to terrorists. Some reports indicate there are more armed cartel soldiers than US Marines now. This isn’t simply an “immigration” issue anymore. |
Republicans won't solve it either. The answer is to prosecute business owners that hire undocumented immigrants. Neither party wants to do that. |
That is now a sub-issue in this debate. The first priority is to stop the drugs and terrorists. |
Actually it's not a consideration at all but would be the most effective for stopping the vast majority of undocumented immigration. Then it becomes much easier to stop the drugs and terrorists. |
Speaking of terrorists, neither party is doing anything to stop the trafficking of guns from the US to Mexico and beyond. We are fueling the terrorists and doing nothing about it. |
My faith has been restored in Biden. I thinks he’s our best shot for the next 4 years. |
I wish I could live in your brain |
Desperate, eh? His interview was filled with delusional lies that even Stephanopolous tried to gently point out. The man is delusional, along with some of his supporters. I do wonder why some people feel so strongly they need to back him up? Is it like a hostage syndrome? Or people afraid that everything they staunchly believed in is actually lies? |
The border issue was always going to take a serious effort to address. There would need to be leadership, trade offs and a sustained show of good will to even get the process started. Unfortunately, it occurred to me pretty quickly that the “statesman” Biden ran on being was not going to show up when he immediately engaged in political tit for tat on border policy. It was very Trumpian, just the other side of the coin on the policy. The normalcy talk in the campaign was all for political gain, it wasn’t real or serious. Biden’s crew never really cared about dealing with problems, they just wanted power. Fool me once… |
