ABC News interview TONIGHT with Biden

As a Biden supporter with serious questions about his competence at this point, I question the validity of a 15-20 minute interview pre-recorded during Biden’s “functional” 10am-4pm window, by a friendly former Clinton staffer. We need more. Unfortunately this may be enough if there’s any stumbles.

Some thoughts and things to watch for:

It’s amazing to think Joe Biden’s fate is in the hands of Bill Clinton’s former Communications Director, George Stephanopulos. In 1992, George helped save Clinton from a “bimbo eruption.” What will he do now for Biden?

Will he go for the kill and knock Biden out or save him?

Here’s a guide :

1. When Biden loses his train of thought, will George sit silently and let Biden flail, or will he step in to save Biden by asking another question or by prodding Biden for an answer?

2. Will he ask questions designed to test Biden’s memory? “When were you VP?” “What was the last country you visited? “What’s the name of your Defense Secretary?” Biden has stumbled on those three questions previously.

3. Will he demonstrate Biden’s ridiculous “jet lag” excuse made no sense? Will he ask if a trip abroad exhausts the President 9 days later, how are you fit for office?

4. Or will he put the anti-Trump ball on a tee and ask easy questions so Biden can survive?

I doubt George will go for the kill. He’s too much of a party man to do that. He likely doesn’t want Kamala to replace Biden, which is why Biden’s people chose George for the interview. George is not Tim Russert.

Biden very well may stumble even in a friendly interview. But Biden picked a friendly questioner so he can survive.

I can’t wait to watch.

It is pre-recorded and EDITED. They may even use AI technology. Totally untrustworthy.

Only event that will work is LIVE Press Conference taking completely random questions (equal chance for both liberal/conservative media) w/o any notes for at least 90-120 minutes to reassure Americans.

And do this at least 3 times once per week.

OP here. As I noted, this is pre-recorded and conducted during Biden’s lucid window. But ABC has stated it will run in full with NO edits. I’m not so far gone that I don’t believe that.

What is this weird obsession about getting questions in advance? It’s not a calculus pop quiz. It’s obvious what the questions will be. Immigration, economy, women’s health, etc. Maybe should you drop out? But none of the questions will be surprises.
