Biden weighing whether to drop out

Yesterday Gov. Hochul said they’re sticking with Biden.

Only the undecideds need convincing. And they mostly have already decided too.

I wouldn't blame Democrats one bit for sending the DNC and WH a loud, strong message that pulling antics like this will not be tolerated.
I wouldn't blame them at all for staying home and seeing record low turn out since the DNC and WH tried to pull the wool over the eyes of the voters.
They refused to have a normal primary and instead kept Joe hidden and sheltered in hopes of not being exposed.

Every gaffe, every stumble, every brain melt will be highlighted and magnified by the media from here on out. By the end of the month, absolutely zero Americans will maintain the illusion that Biden is competent enough to serve as president for another four year term when he will be 86.

Biden will withdraw from the nomination this month after the RNC convention. He will release his delegates to vote as they see fit at the DNC convention. There are roughly 4700 delegates. They will select the next Democratic nominee. That gives potential candidates roughly a month to campaign to make their case. I suspect Harris, Whitmer, Newsom, J.B Pritzker, Josh Shapiro, and Any Beshear will step forward. They more than others all have plausible shots given the short time frame. Harris and Newsom would be the weakest choices, but they all are likely to defeat Trump and that's all that matters.

The country has been clamoring for anything but another Biden-Trump matchup and now we can have it. Biden did not overcome his debate performance after the past week and needs to go.

Interesting new MAGA talking point: don’t vote.

In your dreams.

My perspective is that if he isn't mentally fit to run again and needs to drop out, then he isn't mentally fit to remain in his position for 6 1/2 more months.

Trump clearly isn't mentally fit to serve and needs to drop out. It's not too late for Republicans to find someone who is younger and suffering from less delusional dementia than Trump.

More delusional coping. None will defeat Trump this year. The party that gaslighted and lied to the American public for *years* over Joe Biden's health and had a puppet government behind the curtains will not win this November. They cannot win this November.

None of the governors are jumping in. They know 2024 is a lost cause. The brand is damaged. 2028 is a clean fresh start. Harris will be the nominee and go down with the rats of the sinking ship that is the Biden Administration.

Most likely scenario, yes.

The world would be so much better if FDR had not chosen to run for a fourth term in 1944. His frailty showed at Yalta, and Stalin took advantage of it.

That’s why the governors are strongly supporting Biden. Can you imagine hitching your electoral wagon to his broken down nag of a brand? Ugh just throw the whole pres away.

Now that Trump isn’t in a courtroom, will see what the voters think as he continues on his tirades. Every time he speaks and tweets he reminds voters of how unhinged he is.

Did you actually watch the debate? It was reassuring how surprisingly composed he was, while Joe was committing public suicide.

Suit yourself.
And, keep allowing the DNC to continue to manipulate the Democrat's elections.

And you'll notice how uncharacteristically quiet Trump has been since the debate. He still has the judgement and discipline to know when to step aside as his opponent implodes. Say whatever you will about Trump, but he's not an idiot. And that alone seems to be the only qualification necessary for the presidency when Democrats have chosen a senile geriatric with dementia and Parkinson's who can barely make it down a stair or two much less finish a coherent sentence.

If you think Democrats are the smart and reasonable ones for choosing Biden, there are millions and millions of Americans who think you're the one who is unhinged and reckless for supporting an elderly man who is manifestly incapable of doing the job.

I did. I also watch Trump, from 2016 all the way through now. You are going to tell me he is sane and not unhinged?

We want to to give Biden a fighting chance. Any other candidate would soundly defeat Biden.

I will stand in line for hours to vote for Joe Biden or whomever is on the democratic ticket, if running against Donald Trump. Trump is a narcissistic sociopath, who couldn’t put his big boy pants on and accept the will of the people. Who has aligned himself with white supremacists. Just to name a few things.
