Not to diminish discrimination against gender minorities, but I feel like Drag Queen Story Hour may just be the perfect issue for Mink and her style of progressives to embroil themselves in a decades long struggle with the idiot Proud Boys so that both groups can be so busy arguing about toddler time that they leave the rest of us alone. |
My Hyundai needs a new tire, should I take it to Costco auto or MCPD? |
Just steal a new Hyundai. Problem solved. |
"Not to diminish discrimination against gender minorities, but [diminishes discrimination against gender minorities]." |
Or you can call AAA, which is what Kristin Mink did before she notified police her car was obstructing traffic. |
That doesn’t appear to be the timeline, even according to Mink’s own words: https://wjla.com/amp/news/local/montgomery-county-councilmember-councilwoman-kristin-mink-police-third-district-3d-commander-flat-tire-phone-call-assistance-favor-union-fop-fraternal-order-officer |
The blatant lying from Mink supporters is amazing to watch in real-time lol. |
I am not a fan. But I think she just panicked and started dialing numbers for help. Who knows what order? No, she shouldn't have called the 3D commander, but she had just seen him at a meeting and he was probably one of the first people she thought of. I guess she's never broken down before? In any event, she just needs to learn from the experience and not do it again. Just like everyone else. |
And honestly, I wish people would just see her as human. Just like I wish she'd view police, her fellow county employees, as human, too. |
This sums up the thread! |
Notice the FOP never said police changed her tire. They didn't, AAA did. |
It is the timeline according to her. Somebody is lying. If you think the FOP doesn't lie, then you are a very gullible person. |
Also notice even in the 911 transcript they are saying the call is for a disabled vehicle. Yes it is a police function to assist with disabled vehicles that are obstructing roadways. |
She’s allowed to make mistakes. We all are. She admitted it wasn’t the best choice to call the commander, and she reported it to the ethics committee. Look, I’m not a fan of Mink. She gets some respect for admitting it wasn’t a great choice. Perhaps her supporters can also accept that she made a mistake that night. My bigger issue is her repeated vitriol toward police and the fact she is on the public safety committee. |
I am also concerned with her being on the public safety committee, but so far she's been pretty benign, asking typical questions, not beating police up or anything. My larger, emerging concern is that she is like Jawando and thinks they know how to do policing better than police do. If anyone saw that Jawando Op/Ed in the Bethesda Beat, we know what's coming, since he thinks he knows how to address crime better than cops do. Mink keeps talking about where police should be deployed and what they should be doing. As if there isn't already decades of research and evidence-based practices on how to do that. |
