CLC 24 parent here, and we have to pay extra. No club is really giving away the subscription, it is either baked in to the club fee, or family pays fee as a separate line item, but still through club. Probs depends on how club wants to handle it. Clubs have to have an account for the rosters to populate as they do.

I am in a Carolina team. We didn’t fill out our IWCLA profile because we have no interest in getting recruited. Waste of time for us. No idea if it was free or not.

It doesn't matter if you "fill it out." Your account is opened by the club and has the basic info out there. As demonstrated in an earlier post, the IWCLA rosters were completely different last year. Why did 26 Carolina go from two teams to one?

MCE IWCLA Sports Recruits pages are for the entire age group, same thing for 25s, which is a good thing IMO. Less labeling is a good thing. Stop trying to stir the pot like MCE is trying to pull one over. If a player, like the PP, does not want a page then the club does not activate their profile. All is good...

Exactly. This is some weird hill to die on and sounds like some BS club is trying to push. No club out there with multiple teams at an age group does this. Except MC Elite.

And a quick glance through tournament schedules and it does seem 25 Carolina is no more.

Yet MCE is trying to defend this like they still have a 25 Carolina so if they do then where are they playing?

2025 Carolina parent here. To the PP’s, which seems like 2 crazy parents who are bouncing off each other, your rant is disservice to my child and their coaches. Give it a rest and go away.

So your DD is playing in what tournament for 25 Carolina again?

Tell me is she playing at Live Love Lax? I can't seem to find them playing anywhere on that schedule...

who really cares if a grade has 1 or 2 teams. what is your problem and issue with it? if there aren't enough dedicated girls, then so be it. Teams disband. That's called life. what am I missing?

It just seems to be happening with several teams at this one club all at the same time. Are other clubs all consolidating teams right now?

Oh, I see your point. Well, it isn't fair to the other team they are consolidating with either. MC elite tends to supersize their rosters already. Not fair to the remaining team, either. I don't know the specifics of what happened, but seems like an odd time of year for changes to be happening.

Not to forget 1 team, that happened to be 1 of their better teams, completely leaving as a group and going to another club. It makes potential MCE parents second guess since tryouts for them are soon.

One parent on the said team that left was mad b/c they only wanted SS. Should the club publicly share this email so you can see the craziness? All of this is such BS leave people alone. HC had the best outcomes in years and I am happy that she is my daughter's coach on the 26M and she will be missed at HC so back off.

When an entire team leaves before the start of summer, essentially the rest of the money they paid to start somewhere else, it's really bad.

People are allowed to ask questions when things appear suspect. They have a 2025 Carolina roster, but where are they playing? 2026 Carolina team can be found on tournament schedules, why not 2025s? It's not a hard question.

Did they combine with Midnight? In which case, how large is the team? Did Midnight players leave as well? This is their recruiting summer.

2030s need to chill out. They are so young but act as if they are juniors in high school. yes, they were strong, but a lot of teams are at that age. The problem w/ MC is the lack of consistency. There was and still is talent, but the coaches need to consistently show up and coach. It's not okay for random assistant coaches to fill in at these important tournaments. The club fee is pricey and the club owes them adequate coaching which means that coaches show up 80% or more of the time.

That's right. Why can't the MC coaches show up for all the tournaments like other clubs? Of course there will be 1 or 2 absences because that is life, but it's really unfair to the team to have random coaches during tournaments. It's a bait and switch concept for some of these teams or at least it feels that way. That said, I do hear some of the coaches on MC DO attend the majority of games and practices. Perhaps we are only dealing w/ a few teams where this is an issue. I have a 7th grader and it's interesting to hear the dynamics of both the younger and older teams. Curious how much is actually true

Coaches do not quit. There is always a coach at practices and games. B team commitment and talent is def an issue not sure why it has to be that way, I think just a pure #'s game. The cost of the club is consistent with every other club around town. MCE has great practice fields, puts out solid practice and tourney schedules. MCE HS girls get All-County accolades. College recruiting is solid. This success would not happen if the development at younger age groups was not solid. Lets the girls play. Lax parents are cra cra. Sometimes I wish my daughter was a talented flute player instead.

Before you say coaches don’t quit I think you should have all the info. On the team my DD played on they had 3 different coaches over 3 years when she played at MCE and even then it was not unusually for a coach to miss practices and entire tournaments. Parents who are paying the fees MCE charges expect coaches to be at EVERY practice and EVERY tournament game just like MCE expects of there players.
