The problem was that the families of these seniors kept alive the myth that Whittle would be able to weather the storm, when, for everyone else, an orderly plan to wind-down anoounced last December/January would have served them better. |
What puzzles me is why you would leave your kids at a school at which you no longer wanted to work? I’m having a hard time putting together that scenario. |
But why in the world would anyone believe this myth? Who in their right mind would believe that "investors" would step up and throw more good money (to the tune of millions) after bad? It just blows my mind. I don't care was telling me that things would miraculously turn around---the board parents, my best friends, the US president or anyone. If the school can't meet it's payroll for months, cannot feed the students, is being sued for millions upon millions of dollars, is on it's umpteenth cohort of teachers then I would get the heck out of there as would any reasonable person. Heck, I'd have withdrawn my kids long ago for any of these things or even a rumor of these things. It's really remarkable that anyone fell for any of this.

Maret has fallen of our list. It’s just a mind boggling decision. No thanks.
Maret has fallen out of most peoples list with the Whittle-Maret pipeline that has been skillfully crafted by the new administration.
Current Maret family- we don’t blame you. Am flabbergasted. Everyone knows Bisgaard was current HoS’s last choice- what an FU to her that he got selected |
| How many kids were actually signed up for next year? Does anyone know? |
Not many, less than 40 for sure. |
| Okay we’ve established “things” about the bisgaard family. What’s next? It’s time to move on….seriously. The school had closed and this chat honestly should aswell. |
Mostly lower school families and some middle and upper school ones who were deadly devouts to the mission. Those same MS and US ones(mostly one MS) family are the ones someone talked about earlier. I agree with them 100%. Whatever came out of CWs mouth they would reassure parents and even made a strong comment how they were sticking and staying with whittle. Where are they now? |
| The funniest thing out of this whole chat is that people are focusing on maret and yet no Whittle student minus two who left last year before the bombshell is going there or has been admitted or even applied. There is two schools in particular not big3 but definitely in this independent school pipeline has accepted many teachers and students. One old HOS is going to one of the schools. Maybe change the focus and leave maret out of it. |
30! |
What schools are you referring to that are partaking in this pipeline, PP? |
Curious how you know that? |

Why? What’s the rush? |
