| Just curious? Does anyone know? This is an amazing accomplishment for this young man. |
I'd be shocked if any private around here was much more than 2100 or so. TJ in Fairfax is ~2200. |

The legendary DCUM data collector has the SAT M/CR data here for privates and some publics here.

LOL. But I know a number of kids with 2400 in SAT. Yup, in MCPS schools.
How is this ground breaking? |
Wow, the Blair magnet has some smart kids! |
He's AA and has stats that are about average for Ivy league schools. That doesn't happen often. |
And they were accepted into all EIGHT IVIES? Nope, not in MCPS schools, and not an African American students. If so, they'd be on the news...
|
| He was accepted BECAUSE he was a minority. If he was white, it wouldn't be newsworthy. It is reverse racism. |
| 2250 and top 2% of class at leading LI public. Being minority did not hurt. I don't care if you are white, yellow or green, those stats will get you serious consideration at all the top schools. No reverse discrimination here. |
No, not really. Those stats don't really stand out at Ivy Leagues. Not to mention, his ECs were insignifiicant and not up to par with most Ivy candidates. |
|
>Oakton 1754
>Madison 1753 Yes! (OHS Alum) |
Reverse Racism is an oxymoron when claimed by Whites. Give it a rest. I did not realize that this was another AA student bashing thread. |
Seriously. You can't be happy fir the kid? |
He was accepted BECAUSE he was a highly-qualified candidate. It's not the admissions committees that are being racist here. |
|
Reverse racism? You look just at his SAT scores and declare him average? The kid is a package of qualities, not just his scores. What did his teacher recs say, what were his Ec's? You are jumping to conclusions based on line piece of evidence. You probably need to spend a little more time thinking about race and your own prejudices before casting doubts on the achievements of others.
