Driving barefoot or with one leg up on the seat

No, but funny since just saw some dummy doing this yesterday. She was on the phone, driving her SUV, with her sneaker up on the corner of where the driver side window meets the dashboard.
Don't get it. I would surely crash. |

| I have driven barefoot before. Not frequently, and it's always been because I have been standing in heels all night and I cannot wear my shoes for another second, or a similar shoe-related incident. The logistics are the same as driving with shoes. |

| If you drive an automatic, you only use one foot. It doesn't matter whether the other one is on the dash or at home in a chest freezer. |

That's what I was thinking, although I've personally never driven with just 1 foot. But, I can't imagine it would make that much of a difference since I only use my right foot for braking and giving gas. As for driving with no shoes, I did it once when I was younger and my flip flop had broken (thong part in between my toes snapped off), so I didn't really have much of a choice as my shoe was useless. I really didn't see any difference driving, although when I got home my dad said it was illegal to drive barefoot. Never bothered looking into it. |

I haven't gone barefoot since my college years, but I prop my foot up all the time on long trips. Rather knee up, resting on the door.

I go barefoot quite a lot. If I have slip on shoes I think it's safer. I can feel the pedals and there's no risk of my shoe slipping off.
The foot on the dashboard thing, though: talk about trashy. |
