VHSL Boys Lacrosse 2025 Season

As someone who coached against them last year, and scouted them deeply, they are returning almost 100% of their roster from 2024. They finished as a top 8 team in 2024 and are returning the highest % of their team in the state

They are returning 16/18 players that routinely touched the field last year, including their Jacksonville commit Grant Maloney.

They are in my top 5 going into 2025 and wouldn't be surprised if they make a state championship push

Good prediction!

1st team Grant Maloney west po, Cole samburg Langley, Peyton Larson Robo
2nd team: Jack Milone Langley, Levi wentz Madison, Max Mullen McLean

I don’t know how other years have been, but this seems unusually a lot of public schools especially with the amount of talent included in the dc area. Any thoughts?

Pretty unusual that the Post gives two Nova public underclass kids 1st team.

Missed Woodring and Fructuoso. Thank you for posting. Surprised Kubie didn't make honorable mention. Probably the best player in 5A. Has anyone seen the All State list for 5A?

Hard to believe that NOVA public got 3 kids on first team, 3 kids on second team, 3 of which are underclassmen. Don’t think i’ve ever seen that many. Max I can remember is 5 total. The underclassmen making it is baffling simply because there is always the private school narrative and seniors always get the nod. Wonder if this changes the opinions that lacrosse in NOVA publics is weaker now.

Langley has A LOT of pressure for next year now that they got this recognition.

Go Public Skool! Congrats to the All-Met selections; Huge accomplishment.

Will any of the public underclassmen end up at private schools next year to help them prep for college (against better competition than posting public)?
