No, the issue is that if the people being deported are not given their constitutional rights to due process, then NO ONE gets constitutional rights to due process. Personally, I like that provision of the US Constitution and feel it is worth fighting for, even if I don't like some of the people who also receive that treatment. It is part of what actually makes America great and if we lose it, then America is no longer great.

Such a shame that Biden and his cohorts thought it was okay to allow millions to cross the border with little to no vetting and then allow them to get lost in the system and give birth to anchor babies reside in sanctuary cities, go free with little to no bail if they committed crimes, enroll kids in school with no questions asked, etc.

Biden was following international and US law. The courts overtuned tools that Trump had used so Biden didn't have the same legal discretion. That is why the bi-partisan bill was needed, to fix the rules and add funding for more administrative judges to hear these cases more expediently. The bill also would have funded fentenyl scanners at the border. But trump got the GOP to tank the bill, so we still don't have a good solution. But unleashing ICE and flouting Habeas Corpus are not good solutions.

There was a lawsuit that undid what Trump had established in his term. Biden was not able to use the same tools. Again, you don't care about that, you would have preferred Biden break the law like Trump is now rather than just pass a damned law that would have fixed all of this.

Though border businesses in Texas still have not recovered from that fiasco.

Abbott put his own police officers at the border when Biden refused to control the flow of people. He installed buoys in the Rio Grande to discourage people from crossing. Last I checked he is a Republican.

No, he did not deliberately refuse to control the flow. That is a right wing BS talking point. He didn't have the same tools Trump had because they were struck down in court. The fix is legislative and there was a deal on the table that gave the GOP 80% of what it wanted. Both Biden and Harris said they would sign it. Trump never said he would. He doesn't want a fox that solves the problem. He prefers storm troopers and the suspension of due process for ALL AMERICANS as well as anyone else, despite the plain words in the US Constitution.

Biden could have used executive orders in the same manner as any other POTUS would have to control the flow of migrants crossing the border. Biden is gone now and his immigration failures are no longer a Dem political problem. Any failures going forward are on Trump until 2029.

Yes, it's very expensive and due process takes a very long time. Such a shame that Biden and his cohorts thought it was okay to allow millions to cross the border with little to no vetting and then allow them to get lost in the system and give birth to anchor babies reside in sanctuary cities, go free with little to no bail if they committed crimes, enroll kids in school with no questions asked, etc.

Biden was following international and US law. The courts overtuned tools that Trump had used so Biden didn't have the same legal discretion. That is why the bi-partisan bill was needed, to fix the rules and add funding for more administrative judges to hear these cases more expediently. The bill also would have funded fentenyl scanners at the border. But trump got the GOP to tank the bill, so we still don't have a good solution. But unleashing ICE and flouting Habeas Corpus are not good solutions.

Though border businesses in Texas still have not recovered from that fiasco.

Abbott put his own police officers at the border when Biden refused to control the flow of people. He installed buoys in the Rio Grande to discourage people from crossing. Last I checked he is a Republican.

Biden could have used executive orders in the same manner as any other POTUS would have to control the flow of migrants crossing the border. That's what needed to be done until Congress got their act together with formal legislation. EOs should be last resort but when they're absolutely necessary, there should be no hesitation.

Biden is gone now and his immigration failures are no longer a Dem political problem. Any failures going forward are on Trump until 2029.

You are not getting it. Trump used executive orders, and it was challenged in court and the US/Executive Branch lost. So no, Biden couldn't do that, he needed the Congress to act and they didn't because Trump told them not to. Now, Trump is acting illegally, but you are totally fine with it.
