| A further question about Kim: if she was caring for Monty, why is she off in Amsterdam? Was that made up? If so, that would make the idea of her taking "his" pain medicine a little more suspect. |
| I figured the dirt about Harry was something regarding his former sex addiction/ cheating issues. Maybe Kim slept with him! That would be juicy. |
Didn't know about the sex addiction. Is that why Lisa R. was screaming "don't you ever go near my husband!!"? I just caught up and saw the episode. It wasn't quite as exciting as I expected. Like a momentary crazy moment and then they were all smiley again. Kim should have apologized to everyone at that table for her instigating behavior and Lisa R. should have apologized for going a little crazy. I know Lisa R. apologized to Kim but I didn't hear the apology back. She seems to think it's okay to be so nasty. Taking cues from Brandi. Brandi seems delighted that Kim is acting so "honestly", lol, it's like she made a little spawn to take the heat off of her for a bit. |
|
I just watched it.
No WAY was Lisa R to blame here, in fact, I thought her apology was genuine and sweet and Kim's comment of "well, you did" was completely uncalled for. I love me some Eileen. I love how she gave it right back to Kim. Kim was awful. What a horrible, wretched woman to say what she said about ALL of them. "Kathy would defend me like a real sister", "You are a beast", "Eat some bread" Yikes. Girlfriend needs some coping strategies, stat! |
Same here. I only remember her from Escape to Witch Mountain, and even then, I would never have known what her real name was. I think maybe she was a teen idol or something, so maybe we were just slightly too young to remember that? I believe they showed a poster of her in a red swimsuit when RHOBH first started, by way of introducing her. I was born in 1968... don't know if that has anything to do with it. |
I always wonder about these women on the show who have teenaged kids - don't they care that their kids are reading everything they post, not to mention watching the show? I'd be mortified if my kids ever saw me behave like that. There have been so many awful moments; how do they explain/rationalize all of that to their kids. |
Google her picture for a young Kim Richrds. That my jog your memory. She looks nothing like her child str. Booze , sun and drugs ravaged her looks |

As an addict myself, I think Kim's crazy defensive behavior is indicative of someone who is in real denial and probably using some sort of substance. Most addicts are kind of used to people questioning their recovery. While it can hurt our feelings, when we are really in recovery, we accept responsibility for our past. Kim doesn't seem to be in a place of recovery at all.
However, it would be nice if people weren't all trying so hard to "help" her. If Lisa has been around so many addicts, she should realize that nagging people or calling them out on their addictions is about the worst thing you can do. They need to help themselves. About the only thing you can do is set some real healthy boundaries and stick to them. I feel a bit like Bravo is exploiting Kim. i don't think participating in the show is good for her in any way. |

So I just now caught up on the last episode and had some thoughts. I love Lisa R. and find Kim to be incredibly annoying, but quite honestly, I'm siding with Kim on this one. Imagine being constantly questioned about your sobriety, when you've been sober for three years - with the exception of that one pain pill. Obviously, Kim knows that was a mistake, but does she really need to now have the morality police question her at every turn? I really think Lisa R. has taken it way too far in her constant interrogations of Kim. It doesn't matter if Lisa's had relatives die from overdoses, etc. That doesn't have anything to do with Kim and she needs to stop bringing it up. If pushed that far, I probably would have reacted the same way as Kim - furious, and with good reason. Of course, I don't know what she was referring to about Lisa's husband, and whatever it was was below the belt, but I understood what she meant when she said that the only way she can be heard is to react in that way. No one will drop the subject of her sobriety, so she has to finally explode to get their attention.
What did Lisa R. mean when she said, "Stay away from my husband" - I didn't get that at all. Also, how fun can it be to vacation with a group of people you're constantly screaming at? It's so strange to me. Though they did look like they were having a great time on the bike trip to the windmills. As for Brandi - what was she upset about? That the women have all done pot but don't admit to it on camera? It's weird to see Brandi being sober this whole trip - so different from her usual drunken rages. Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm no fan of Kim's, but can totally see how she would finally lose it. Enough about her sobriety, already! |
I'm the PP above. I was born in 1966. I don't really remember her as a teen idol (other than the classic Tuff Turf), but more so as a child. That straight hair and those bangs. I wanted to be her! Of course, I also wanted to be Buffy from A Family Affair. She died at 18 from a drug overdose, so maybe Kim isn't doing too badly for a child star from that era. Agree with a PP to google her to see what she looked like as a kid, because the years have not been kind to her skin. |
| Why does Kyle keep pushing for Kim to stay on the show? This isn't a healthy environment for her. |
|
It's too bad that Lisa R broke the glass like that. I understand she was VERY upset about the strange and somewhat inscrutable comments Kim was making about Harry, but she went totally over the line. Maybe it was the fact that she had just been recounting her sister's death and was already emotional.
Regardless, Kim was just insane. I get that she's protective of her sobriety, but honestly she is the one who has set herself up for this. She can't blame others if her kids would run away if she relapses. She did take that pain pill and was acting out of sorts (to say the least) at poker night and, from what I can tell, was not acting in a sober fashion. It seemed like Lisa R actually was concerned about her and wasn't just trying to spread gossip. The more I see of Kim, the more I feel bad for Kyle, which is somewhat shocking because I don't like her either. But you can see now how difficult it must be to have to interact with Kim all of these years. I wonder if Kim is mad at Brandi now that the earlier episodes have aired during which Brandi basically said Kim wasn't sober and had major issues. I feel like Yolanda and Lisa V both handled the situation very well. |
| Re: "Eat some Bread". Kim's jab was her way of saying Lisa is too skinny or perhaps trying to insinuate that she has some kind of an eating problem. Who knows? Lisa is tiny but she doesn't strike me as dramatically thinner than some of the other women. Brandi and Yolanda are also quite thin, but I've heard reference to Lisa's size discussed more than once. What gives? Is my perception skewed or is Lisa so much thinner than the others that Kim feels she can use it as a jab. |
| I remember seeing on a news ticker on E! That Harry wanted to divorce Lisa when she was considering RHBH |
No I think it was David saying that to Yolanda right? They said she convinced him because she wanted RHOBH to be a springboard for her own life and style show/company. Martha Stewart like. Makes sense, with all her talk of her gardens and her decorating and the planning details of her dinner parties "by the piano". |
