I have to disagree. She was a HUGE child star. Huge. One of the biggest child stars of the 70s, I'd say. She was a regular on Nanny & the Professor when she was super young, like 4. And then she was in a lot of Disney stuff, including Escape to Witch Mountain (!), and afterschool specials. Then she was a regular on a couple shows as a teen (James at Sixteen and another one I'm blanking on). Frankly, I think she started having kids to get away from her career. From what I've read, her mother was quite the pushy stage mom. It's sad to me to see her now. I loved her as a child and am sorry that, like so many others, being a child actor didn't let her have a normal childhood and life.

I agree. I think Kim is incredibly annoying, and I really like Eileen and Lisa V., but they truly need to back off. They're constantly in Kim's face about her sobriety and they hardly know her. It's funny, I was a 70s kid and I have no recollection of her whatsoever. I was a big after school special watcher and a lot of tv in general. She is probably just not memorable to me which means nothing but whenever she talks about being a child star I just don't recall her at all. And I can name the cast (character and real names) of tons of 70s shows -- Hart to Hart, Emergency, Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Eight is Enough, Different Strokes... and so on. But Kim Richards, nope.

Yes and most people would be horrified that they lost their cool and acted out like that on tv. Definitely played up for the cameras and a very dramatic season finale. In her blog on Bravo (yes I am ashamed) she comes off as relatively cavalier about it, chalking it up to her inner gangster. I found her very real and relatable during the season but the fact she wasn't embarrassed by her behavior is really odd.

I mean, Kim was acting nuts. She called Eileen a beast. I think Lisa reached a breaking point and was already in an emotional place when she talked about her sister. The perceived threat to her family, after seeing Kim go after her friends, was just too much. I dont blame her. It's about time someone threw a glass at Kim, quite frankly.

I think Kim is a spoiled brat. She has no story line and as a PP said, hasn't for years. It seems common knowledge that she is only on the show because her and Kyle are a package deal. Kim should be grateful to Kyle. She clearly is very selfish. I feel bad for Kyle.

I agree. The only thing is, Lisa R was joking about the "what did harry do" thing all over her twitter last night. She seems pretty upfront so I dont think it was just an attempt to cover things up. I think Kim sometimes thinks she has more dirt than she does- she has so many secrets that I think she assumes everyone else does and if she says one thing that isn't publicly known about harry, everything will unravel. But I dont think it's anything big- from how they discussed it on WWHL and Lisa joking about it last night I would be really shocked if it turned out to be something huge. I think Kim is just grasping for straws, anything to distract people from her own mess.

I'm the PP you quoted and I think you are right. I didn't see Lisa R's twitter, but overall she seems like a pretty 'normal' well balanced person. I also think she has a wry sense of humor so maybe acted out a bit for the cameras. She has joked with Andy before that she didn't think she was crazy enough to be a housewife. So perhaps she thought - This is my moment.

Tabloids said that Brandi spilled the beans that Adrianne hired a surrogate for her children. I got the impression from the aftermath that it was probably the truth.

i think Lisa was just pissed that Kim was throwing something out there, never clarifying what (you would think, if it was really that bad, that in the heat of the moment Kim would have been unable to hold it back. She certainly wasn't holding anything else back), and she knew that everyone wold think "where there's smoke there's fire". I think she is just so protective, and so honest and out there with her feelings, that it just sparked something in her. But honestly, I dont blame her. I think I would do the same if someone were deliberately lying to try to hurt my husband in public.

I haven't been able to watch it yet on the DVR, but I am so, so grateful for your recaps and analysis!

So, two questions:

1. Were the women already drinking at the time of the broken wine glass/lunging at the throat incident? Alcohol must immediately go to her brain because she is 80lbs, plus an emotional story about her sister, could have something to do with the crazy?

2. What DID Harry do? Maybe it was something related to his drinking in the past. He is sober now. I am sure his brother's death is a huge reason why, but there have to be some things he did while an addict that he probably regrets.

1. They had JUST started drinking. Like you said, Lisa is small, so maybe the couple sips did her in but no one seemed even a little bit tipsy. It is funny you mention her size though, because Kim did tell her "Why dont you eat some bread?" in a really nasty, hostile tone. I think it was a dig about her size but who can really know because it was such an odd thing to say- it was definitely an insult of some kind though.

2. I have no clue. People on twitter were joking about Harry eating all their girl scout cookies or other ridiculous scenarios. Maybe he did do something when he was drinking but I've never heard of him having a drinking problem and I got the vibe that Harry stopped just because his two brothers had been addicts and died. But I dont think he had a full blown drinking problem.

Who knows? Apparently Lisa V encourages Lisa R to ask Kim what the hell she meant by the accusation and we find out in later episodes, according to the blogs. From how everyone has talked about it on twitter and the blogs it doesnt seem to be anything earth shattering. It will be interesting to know what it is though.
