Do they exist? Sure. Are the commonplace in a way that would make them at all convenient or reasonable for most gun owners? No. One example in mid-VA doesn't help me in close-in MD. Do you expect me to drive there rather than lock my gun in a safe in my own home? Nobody's "shitting on you" for pointing out that this isn't the universal "duh" solution you presented it to be. Standard responsible gun ownership protocol is a locking safe, which OP's spouse purchased along with the gun. This is all within spec. But you don't want to hear that, so you keep making up all these other arguments and then acting like you've been victimized when people point out that you're being unreasonable. |
We heard you the first eleven times, and you've become the most obnoxious part of this whole thread (which is saying something!). |
. Again, please provide a list from your superior research. So far we have one “cold storage” place and one place that offers range-based storage. Where are all the others? |
Pp was able to google, apparently other gun owners are too incompetent to do the same? And you want people to trust how competent you are in gun ownership? Hmm. |
So you can’t find any either. |
They are common in some European countries. Perhaps they are European and not familiar with the USA? |
Statistically, he’s much more likely to kill you and your children.
That’s just a fact. Tread lightly while you share a bed with your potential murderer. |
My wife just ordered me an early Father’s Day present off of Gunbroker… lol it arrives next week! |
Or perhaps they suffer from the sadly widespread delusion that firearms are somehow self-animating, with a siren-like ability to drive otherwise sane people to uncontrollable violent madness by their mere presence (but not, apparently, from a range storage facility). |
LMAO! Love it! |
Only a MAGA judge (?) and of course that would be overturned. So, there are so many stats about unnecessary violence stemming from guns in the home, yeah, Mom would be allowed to take kids take kids and a settlement with her, but she won't be leaving the house, he will. |
Yup. He’ll probably say this with a smile while holding the gun. And he’ll probably be standing between you and the door. |
Sounds like a Lifetime Movie in the works! ![]() |
You must be a bit off plumb if you really believe all that. |
Kiddo, the bar isn't set where your neurotic paranoia would want it to be. People don't need to lock their guns in off-site safes. A locking home safe is sufficient. You need to handle your anti-gun sentiments and anxiety instead of trying to project responsibility for them onto otherwise-already-responsible gun owners. OP's spouse bought a gun AND a gun safe. This issue has been resolved. OP's spouse has already met the standards for competent gun ownership: training and security. You're acting like he's deficient somehow, when you're just ignorant and anxious. This is a you problem, and people don't have to hide their guns in public safes states away to appease you. |
