Or peach picker. |
The stories are important. If they are not talked about, then no one knows. |

""I'm a lifelong Republican," the man said. "But I am in the majority, I think, with a lot of Americans, a lot of Alaskans, that are really concerned that we have an executive branch that is more than willing to push or remove the guardrails that are on the executive branch and what we need from Congress and from the courts is to play that checks and balances role, not not to oppose obviously —" "A woman in tears told Bentz that Congress should take responsibility for the "unsustainable" budgets that have been passed since Mr. Trump's first term "instead of expecting us working-class folks here to pay for your mistakes." "And then blaming it all the Democrats and expecting the judges to bail us out, when you have plenty of power yourself," she said, noting that she is an independent voter. "I'm all for fiscal responsibility and downsizing the government. We've been through downsizing before and you can do it in a way that is humane and treats people with dignity." |
. It’s not enjoying other people’s misery. The people who voted in T brought this misery onto themselves and onto the rest of us. They wanted misery. They were all to excited to bring go misery onto others. The ones who did not vote T, the ones posting on this thread, voted Harris bc we did not want others to be hurt. Don’t try to guilt shame the Harris voters here. This thread is important. I am mad so many people wanted to harm others. It was not my wish that they be hurt… that’s why I voted Harris. |
But others saw President Biden and VP Harris as hurting people, so they voted for President Trump. If there is buyer's remorse, then we will find out in 2026 and 2028. |
I think there are a lot of Republicans sitting around suffering in silence, keeping their mouths shut. Having grown up in a rural conservative part of the country, you're expected to toe the line and not speak out. If they start seeing more people like them speaking out they might start to realize they aren't alone in their silent suffering. |
Uh yeah... They were "hurt" by the existence of 10 trans athletes and the fact that we hire qualified blacks and qualified women just like we hire qualified whites. |
Yes. I think lots of people are following only the right-est of right wing media so they don't understand what's going on. I have coworkers who actually believe the fired fed employees are ONLY "non-essential" positions and people who were low performers. They didn't believe me when I tried to explain otherwise. And we are state government employees. I said "Doge is firing people just like us!" Nope, they still don't believe me. And our governor is implementing a government efficiency program now too which they think will be good for our agency. I have a Facebook friend who just posted that RFK Jr has fired those in the CDC who orchestrated the Covid pandemic, and they will all be jailed for life. So I agree stories need to be shared to realistically shared to at least attempt to reach Trumpers who have their heads buried. |
Eh these morons never learn. I say lock em all up just for felonious stupidity. That way they’ll never be able to vote while impaired by stupidity ever again! |
I admire their patriotism and willingness to suffer for the good of the country. It’s quite admirable. |
Um, those weren't the top issues. The economy and the border were the top issues. Trump was beatable, but Democrats couldn't do it. |
Yeah democrats couldn't do it. *eye roll* it's democrats fault that the electorate chose the most morally bankrupt person ( with the rap sheet to show for it) over a woman who was proposing sensible, pragmatic and time-tested solutions to the most preasing issues were facing. Whether it was their racism, sexism, misogyny or whatever that prompted them to vote for a lifelong criminal , let's now see how well it's working out for them. |
I am visiting family in a deep red southern state and went to the local hardware store today. As I was getting stuff out of the car, I heard two 60ish good old boys talking about how they didn't vote for Elon Musk and generally expressing consternation---one said, "I voted for Trump because I thought he'd make things better for people---but this isn't looking like it."
Maybe I have some tiny flicker of hope. |
At work today my DW had a customer (known Trumper) who on one hand was saying this admin is much better than we had with Biden, while on the other hand worriedly complaining that he might lose his job. He's a 25 year USPS employee. |
