So you don’t support families? Why would you want parents unnecessarily spending 2 fewer hours with their kids in order to sit alone on Teams calls? Why don’t you support technology and want to take advantage of the efficiencies it brings? Do you also want us using fax machines? |
People need not have opinions on “government workers”, you all reek of jealousy and it’s not a good look. Continue to live your miserable lives. |
| D.C. has reciprocity with all states, meaning if you live in any state and work in D.C., you don't pay DC taxes. |
| This comes down to trust. Teleworkers are saying: trust us, we’re being productive at home and not watching the kids/watching TV/taking a nap/taking a walk, etc. The new administration is saying it no longer trusts them. |
Blah blah Blah. You Can always quit if you can’t handle returning to the work office |
| Suck it up butter cup |
And I like it that way! Your jealousy is showing. |
No, the new administration is saying they want people to quit. Elon and Vivek have explicitly said this is a tactic to encourage attrition and reduce federal spending. If Trump actually wanted people in the office for productivity reasons, he would not simultaneously be seeking to sell two thirds of the governments office space. https://www.wsj.com/real-estate/commercial/the-u-s-government-has-a-landlord-and-trump-isnt-a-fan-872c469e?mod=mhp |
| These responses are hilarious — immediately and predictably latching into the one clause that they think tells them what they want to hear. “Exceptions” by definition are a small minority. You should not expect to be one of them. |
Luckily that’s not your decision. You know, like RTO. |
One of the local news stations ran a segment yesterday on Mayor Bowser. She was strongly pushing feds returning to work. The segment said she has been begging the Biden admin to enforce return to the office, and she actually flew down to Marlago to convince Trump to do this. The reasons cited were revitalizing/saving the business downtown, and as a means to conbat the surging crime in DC over the past 4 years. This return to work is not solely a trump thing. It is actually a bipartisan measure between far right trump and far left mayor bowser. |
Soooo many desperate excuses. |
I like that you’re grasping at straws. I actually have no fear because I am well aware of how it works for my position. I’ve been here a long time, I’ve been involved in the process of trying to remove some truly heinous employees, and it can’t be done quickly or easily. Yep. I will report 2 days in the office max, continue to produce stellar work, and no one will touch me—especially not within the 4-year framework of this Administration. |
Bowser…far left? 🤣 |
Yes, please. And don’t worry. It will be WELL before 2028.
