Well your point about Capital is an opinion, not a fact. An ill-informed one. You would have said the same thing about the 23s and 24s. Didn’t happen then, won’t happen now. You should revisit the list of Cap Blue commits posted above from the “down years” when a competing club (Pride) was thought to be the end of Capital. Those, indeed, are facts. |
You are making this all about Capital and not about the player or HS. All assumptions, parents have continued to state on this forum how the low amount of involvement of Capital in their recruiting process. At this point, it’s obvious you work for Capital. Go fix your program instead trolling the internet. |
False. Multiple upperclass commits on field for GC in that first day of StJ Winter League game, but keep telling your own stories ("propaganda"). |
And it sounds like they're saying all their girls needed the help vs. the competition. Strange. |
Still, an elite 28 team should smash most HS teams, and handle even the good ones. For example, the 2029 m&d black team plays in a varsity HS indoor league in bmore and is undefeated. They have been smashing almost every team, and even beat bmore IAAM schools like NDP. The fact of the matter is that the cap blue 2028 team is simply decent, but far from elite. |
There were no upperclassmen but nice try pal. |
Bro; the girls know who is who. Oregon scored a number of goals; just one example. 6 ft defender was likely not an 8th grader either. You can say that Cap should have played better, but don't make stuff up. |
You can get to a top college from any club. Take a look at MC Elite’s list of commits! |
They lost to a bunch of 8th graders and now you are making things up. I was there and have a kid on the team. You obviously weren’t and made up a Virginia myth. |
Close game though |
Wow thank you for this I needed a good laugh this morning. |
They have a list just like Capital. So they have history too! Alum at Denver, Michigan, Yale…you name it. Facts |
OMFG did you just claim MCE has a list just like Cap?
|
Yes, if you are a total beast, coaches will usually find you and you can play D1 ball. But the club you play on does factor into the recruiting process, whether it is playing in top brackets in front of the D1 coaches more often, or a director/program that actually does have connections and helps kids through the process. Capital is slipping for sure, but at the moment it is still top dog in DC, and it still has by far the best commits list. Comparing MC Elite to them is crazy. While MC Elite does get a princeton or denver level kid to stick around every so often, their list is paltry. |
MCE had a decent recruiting "history" if you look at the more present classes like the 26 class which has yet to commit one girl, or perhaps the 25 class where the IWLCA shows 4 commits. Two of those were the Chicago and ODU commits who played with Pride until HS where they only played 1 year at MCE and moved on. The Gettysburg commit played for MCE when she was in Middle school and then guest played in HS a few times on her IWLCA she has her club listed as M&D. The Holy Family commit was on the Carolina team her whole time at MCE until all the goalies left for better clubs. MCE is irrelevant now and has been on a downward turn since the one great 2022 class which of course was coached by SR coach and now M&D DC director KCM. FACTS... |
