Because he gets what he wants. He wanted JLo, he got her the moment he reached out, then he grew tired of her and moved on. His wife is taking care of his children without alienating him. Her ex and his mom are there to support him whenever he needs them to. He is still a major star, making big movies. You might not like what he wants from life, but he is getting it.

In contrast, JLO is failing by her own lights. She wanted "the greatest love story ever told" and ended up being publicly humiliated and cheated on. Her tour flopped etc etc. While she was the bigger star during some periods, her position is much more precarious.

Ben was the one getting a glowup with her. Her only downfall has been her relationship with him. She’s still gorgeous, hardworking and rich. No one cares about her marriages. She jokes about her track record, see the movie Marry Me. She’ll move on and he’ll stay scrubby Dunkin Donut Ben begging random women on Raya to talk to him.

And she likely believes the same. Severe Narcs want/crave love and adulation and perfect mirroring from another but they also deeply fear engulfment and loss of self (in part because it's a fragile self actually, not a healthy, realistic ego that can navigate the closeness and distance inherent in real intimacy with a real person with real limitations). They can also regress into sado masochistic dynamics....who is doing what to whom then becomes the preoccupation....as is happening here. They are similar people. She may be feeling more sadistic at this point in time, hence the vindictive stories relaying how he sucks.

She probably gave her people (aka Benny Medina) permission to put her side out there. Tbh I don't blame her, given that she's borne the brunt of the bad PR with their split. Especially since he promised her the moon to get her back and now seems to have immediately picked up a sidepiece to boot. Not a huge fan of hers but he's gross. No contact with her kids, even an initial check-in to explain and sy goodbye? His kids were around PT, hers almost FT for 2+ years. Selfish, selfish, selfish.

I get she wants the right narrative out but certain details like this about the kids should stay under the wraps.

Yeah i agree she has every right to be angry too. She held back for as long as she could. I wish they both understood that no one has to be villain. There were things they both did that was wrong. It's over now and from them both she's the one who needs to be more careful because of the target already on her back

Um in their minds there does does need to be a villain. These are not mature, wise people who gracefully accept life on life's terms, including failures. They're both on a more early, immature level than that, deep down. Her especially...she's a black and white person when it comes to sh/*t like this. If the timeline of their reported separation is accurate, they separated on April 26 and he got bad Botox/filler for the Brady Roast on May 5, so that humiliation is all on him.
