Every day, the orange "Snow Flake in Chief" whines about everything. Takes zero responsibility and blames everyone from the immigrants, to liberals and his kids, for everything. |
No, that’s not how it works. There are no rights bestowed by the DOI and no case law citing them. The constitution rules. Also, the DOI, written by deist and non-supernaturalist Thomas Jefferson, first mentions “the laws of nature” and then adds “and nature’s god”. So, fail. Definitely no Christianity /Jesus/Old Testament reference. Gosh, I wonder why they didn’t put that in there if that is what they meant? |
Fat Elvis saying the quiet part out loud...
Trump Backs Ten Commandments In Schools Donald Trump endorsed displaying the Ten Commandments in public schools, days after Louisiana became the first state in the country to require it, Axios reports. Said Trump: “I love the Ten Commandments in public schools, private schools, and many other places. This may be, in fact, the first major step in the revival of religion, which is desperately needed, in our country.” New York Times: Louisiana’s Ten Commandments law signals a broader Christian agenda. |
He loves them so much that he has violated every single one of them. |
Yes. Hang that on the wall next to the commandments. |
+1 He is such petulant child. It’s so bizarre that anyone looks at him and sees “strength” or leadership. |
The point is that it's not just about hanging some religious directives on public school walls; it's what's behind that "harmless" move. As Trump said, it's a "step in the revival of religion in our country." |
The same thin skinned snow flakes who get triggered by books about gay people in the school library? |
Isn't that the point- to make people who dont believe in this feel like outsiders? and thus subtly discourage them or assimilate/convert them. The only issue is that this will only 'other' minority faiths like Hmong, Sikh, yazidi, Bahai that have no other safe haven in the world which is truly sad. The 10 commandments arent limited to Christianity- they are the foundational laws set to govern the abrahamic faiths so they arent going to bother Jews or Muslim Americans, they arent really proof of a Christian nation, just a 'western one'. TBH- even the Lords prayer and New Testament won't bother Muslims, they believe in Jesus and the Gospels. they are even waiting for Jesus to come back and kill he non-belivers like evangelicals do so.. who exactly is this really hurting? religious minorities and that is a shame since the United States has always been a safe harbor for people who have no where else to go. |
are you crazy? do you know why the 10 commandments were given to? Moses? a prophet who is revered by most of the people in the world, what do the 10 commandments have to do with Christianity? |
I love how the guy who mentioned "Two Corinthains," admitted he had never asked God for forgiveness, wouldn't comment on whether the Bible he held up as a prop belonged to him, can't name a favorite Bible verse, and sold tacky American flag-adorned Bibles for $60...(catches breath)...is all in favor of the revival of religion in our country. |
Progressives only know that they don't like Christians. They don't know anything about those other religions except that they need to keep quiet, or they will get the stick too. |
You can't expect the "us" vs "them" knuckleheads posting on a political message board to actually factor in historical facts if those historical facts don't support the political narrative of their "side" at a given point in time. Yes, the story of the 10 Commandments is a prominent story that has spread through many cultures and religions across the world. |
Don't know about progressives but the women of this country just got smacked up side the uterus by the Christians and they intend to smack back. The 10 commandments poster should not be permitted but that is the least of it. |
Ha! Someone needs to ask him which is his favorite Commandment, which ones he abides by “quite strongly” to use his own vocabulary. |
