Protests on college campuses

You can post non-stop here but it won't change the brutality of Israel and what the rest of the world (and the younger generation) knows: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-68915529

They should have ousted Netanyahu when they had a chance. He's destroyed their country and engendered global antipathy towards Israel and its inhabitants. It will likely never be seen as anything other than a pariah nation ever again.

Says the LWNJ who posts here 24/7. And your "younger generation"? You are morons. Not all of you, of course, but those protesting and supporting Hamas - morons. The world is seeing this nonsense and judging you accordingly. Best of luck!

Peace on Earth

There has never been peace on Earth and never will be.

Of course there can be. Unfortunately the choice is in the hands of a few.

There absolutely 100% cannot ever be peace on earth. Are you delusional?

Of course their can be. But unfortunately the choice is in the hands of the billions, and it only takes one vote to break peace.

Ah, Pollyanna!

Vietnam War era protestors (and draft dodgers) seem to have done just fine now haven't they?

I don't think they were supporting terrorists, were they?

Anonymous wrote:“ The war of words over the ongoing Israel-Hamas violence in the Middle East has stretched to most corners of the internet, as well as New York, where a law student has reportedly lost a job over "inflammatory" comments.

Ryna Workman, student president of the NYU Law School Bar Association, published a statement in a school newsletter that was widely circulated on social media Tuesday, stating "unwavering and absolute solidarity with Palestinians in their resistance against oppression toward liberation and self-determination."

“Israel bears full responsibility for this tremendous loss of life. This regime of state-sanctioned violence created the conditions that made resistance necessary. I will not condemn Palestinian resistance," the message continued.

The bar association president went on to condemn apartheid, settler colonialism and "the violence of trapping thousands in an open-air prison."

Winston & Strawn, a law firm that apparently employed Workman as a summer associate, announced that the law student's employment offer had been rescinded because of their comments.”

Buh-bye! Love to see it.

This happened months ago, and the decision by Winston & Strawn was taken well before there were 34,000 Palestinian casualties at the hands of Israel.

Employers who terminate offers or jobs of anyone who dares criticize the actions of the Israeli government will pay their own price when it comes to future recruiting.

Oh please. It will make these places even more attractive as employers

Just as universities that aren't letting these protesters call the shots are becoming more attractive to applicants who want no part of their insanity.

Israel has every right to defend itself against the brutal Hamas terrorists.
Hamas started this.
And, as each day passes without the release of the hostages...... the world is learning just how brutal Hamas is and how they try to sway public opinion with false propaganda.
Looks like they have captured your attention.

Hamas is gleeful that all these useful idiots are doing their work for them.

BREAKING: The University of Florida Divest Coalition is trying to make an encampment using wheelchairs only. They are claiming to be disabled and in need of the chairs. The UF Divest Coalition are trying to weaponize the Americans with Disabilities Act against the University of Florida.
.

These people are seriously sick in the head.

Now they're cos-playing disabled people? Deranged and disgusting.

Emory is a private university and can set its own rules. A college professor should know that she is entitled to PEACEFUL demonstration not violent demonstrations and not necessarily on private university property.

Students and faculty want amnesty and, personally, as a graduate of one of these universities, I hope they are not given amnesty.

Absolutely agree.

The point of protest is to be loud and proud, right? It just seems a bit much to expect NO consequences for your protest. That’s the whole thing, you know? That’s why protesting is brave - you’re not hiding your opinions.
Young people are so disappointing.

Insane. Shame on Biden.

Question - I read that the VT students were told that if they didn’t disburse, they’d be arrested. I also saw a video of a Google employee who was told if he didn’t leave, he’d be arrested.

In both cases, the protesters refused to leave and were arrested. When they knew their arrest was imminent, why wouldn’t they leave?!

It this a martyr thing? It seems to me it’s a waste of law enforcement’s time, the protester’s time and the protester’s money (presumably spent on bail). Who wants to spend a night in jail, get a record, get fingerprinted… when they had the option of not being arrested?

Yes, they think of themselves as martyrs and of course, have to get the virtue signaling shot of being arrested for their social media. That’s the whole goal.

I honestly don’t know.

The VT encampment is on a central location on campus (which apparently requires permits and reservations). Another campus organization had it scheduled for tomorrow morning.

They protestors were told to vacate by 8 pm. They did not, police were called, arrests still currently ongoing.

I have friends w seniors there now. I’m sure they are pretty upset with what’s happening. The students were warned and they could have departed without confrontation.

And the PP (in the instant post and previous posts) is barely concealing their bared fangs in calling for razor wire, imposed famine, and then swift and vicious disposition of their cases resulting in severe punishment.

Don’t be an idiot. No one said anything about executing anyone, except perhaps Hamas terrorists wanting to kill Jews.

But yes, they should absolutely be kicked out of school and arrested for violating trespassing laws.

NP. I’m 100% for this, yes. These “students” do not have a right to defile public spaces at the schools that are supposed to be there for everyone’s use and enjoyment

You want to execute students on Anerican college campuses for assembling to express opposition to Israel’s actions in Gaza? Is that right?

Peaceful assembly is what we are guaranteed
These were not peaceful.

A massive crowd of onlookers standing behind the police tape. I’m watching a livestream.

So they are screwing up their lives for nothing? Now they have a police record and possibly expelled. They are idiots.
