What’s the latest? Is she still pursing office? Is her husband still employed? Are her children still attending their schools?

Someone leaked it....but who? This is going to be an amazing story for a journalist.

As I understand it, she and her husband only "performed" live streams behind a paywall. So you had to pay to get in and see anything. And even then, it would not be archived and you had to watch them perform live. To summarize: (1) someone knew they were performing, (2) someone then recorded the streams, and (3) they then uploaded the videos to external sites not subject to a paywall.

Hence why she is trying to claim it's "revenge porn" - because someone then uploaded the videos onto external sites that can be accessed for free via a Google search without their consent. That's also a copyright violation, hence why she has a lawyer issuing takedown orders.

There's a really good story here for an enterprising journalists willing to dig into the details of political ratf#ckery.

It’s called opposition research. Everyone does it. There are facial recognition tools now that investigators use to scour the web looking for matches.
And it’s all legal.

The research is legal. What you do with the information can be illegal, for example violating copyright laws or if it was sent to people under 18.

And this is extremely helpful in getting women to vote for Republicans.

Why?

I was being sarcastic. Because Republicans already have a major problem with attracting women to vote for them and mocking a woman for her sex life will not help their cause at all.

People are not mocking her for her sex life.
They are mocking her for being part of the pornography business while running for public office and then playing the victim.

Out of curiosity I found the videos. They were posted over a year ago and collectively have about 80k views. How did she not think someone would recognize her? Also, it’s not like it was newly leaked it’s been out there for over a year based on the posting date. Also it’s very boring. I can’t believe someone would actually pay to see 2 basic white people get it on.

The videos were up on the internet. There was no "leak." They were freely available as of this morning. Maybe one of her fans recognized her now that she is out campaigning. You can't perform live on the internet and then be surprised when the internet doesn't forget.

But I would also love to learn more about the "tip" to the WaPo from some GOP operative.

You aren't supposed to record them from the livestream. I don't think it is illegal but you are definitely not supposed to do that and you can request that it be removed from any site that has it up without your permission. The main reason is that people who are camming for money get ripped off. It's like what happened on Pornhub. A lot of the porn on Pornhub was not there with the permission of the people who actually made it. It just got stolen and reposted.

But everybody knows that it happens. She had to know it would happen.

I just watched one. Nothing special. Quality of video or the actors. Would be a little embarrassing what did.

Looks like their bedroom too.

They could spend years and countless hours chasing down these videos. On par with narcissism & the lack of common sense

Are women voters a monolith? Many women think what this woman did was reprehensible, and they can still laugh at radio jokes about it without running out to vote for Dems.

Pretty much. Republicans have a major young, educated women problem.

Wow. Believe that at your own risk.

I don't believe in anything. I'm a data person and a CFA, and when I look at the voting patterns of young women with college degrees or more, I'm not seeing anything for Republicans. The young, poor males in rural America definitely lean conservative however they don't vote very often or cannot vote due to felonies. The life expectancy is decreasing too, so the old, conservative base is dropping dead, especially in low income rural area, that are overwhelmingly Republican.
I'm not even talking about the ticking bomb that is generation Z. I have one in high school who will be able to vote soon.

If there’s another viable democratic candidate in the wings maybe, if not I guess we’re going to have an adult performer in the house of delegates. We’ve had larger embarrassments.

Oh, yeah. She's in my district. I think this was super dumb, but I'm still totally voting for her. And I don't think any of my Dem friends in this district would switch their votes to Republican because of this no matter how stupid they thought she was. We all know this entire election is about abortion in Virginia. However, there are also plenty of Republicans in my district too--especially in Goochland. But they are also mostly moderate country club style Republicans. I'm not sure how many of them want abortion to be illegal either.

It is kind of ironic since Roe was predicated on the right to privacy and abortion is an issue about a woman's right to do what she wants with HER body. We have very puritanical beliefs in this country, especially when it comes to women's sexuality.

It's already disappeared from talking points that I'm seeing. So maybe it won't turn out to be as big of a deal as I thought? Youngkin will run roughshod over this state if he can.

I'm also in her district but new to the area, like most of the people here. I'm voting with the party, I don't know a ton about either of the candidates.

She has a lot of followers on Facebook now. Previous post hit a good point, now she can make more doing porn.

Somehow I believe this was her idea. Not her husband’s.
