Agree. But it won’t be nearly enough for the flag burners.

Wonder why…

Just because you thought she navigated it well (read: she reaffirmed that Israel will have U.S. unconditional support NO MATTER what she does) doesn’t mean that those seeking actual honest brokerage from our political leadership agree with you.

I don’t believe she navigated it well at all. What an utter disappointment

Kamala Harris doesn't have to remind us that Israel has a right to defend itself. We know that already. But what is happening now is not defending Israel; it's endangering Israel as much as it's endangering Palestinians. It's endangering the world. It's slaughtering innocents. And nobody can tell us the end game here. No one - not the Americans, not the Israelis - are even trying to explain why, what, how, or for how much longer. And the United States is complicit in this. I say this as a Jew. I say this as a lover of Israel. This has got to end. An American President - and a Presidential candidate - needs to say that. No more offensive weapons. Not one more. And no more covering for Israel in the United Nations unless they publicly agree to a plan for a two-state solution. I know it's not fair. I know the lies about us are unbelievable. I know the propaganda is digusting. But innocent Palestinians should not have to pay for that. I know the antisemitism is high - including on the American Left, I'm sad to say - but this war isn't helping. This war is wrong. This war has gone on too long. This war must end.

Thank you. You are proof positive that accusations of anti-semitism are typically false accusations because the vast majority of supposed anti-semites would have zero hostility towards you after reading your words.

the world cares but only the US is being paid and shamed to look otherway

I don't think Blinkin can go to a firm after his term bc they think it is antisemitic to stand up against racists.

i think they did have a pal and israeli co lead a prayer

Knowing what's transpired in the Middle East over the past 100 years and reaching the conclusion that Jewish people are the ones who should have fear for their existence is just about the most breathtakingly obtuse - or dishonest - take possible.

Imagine providing one side of a conflict with F35s and carte blanche to call in the U.S. armed forces whenever Israel writes checks it can't cash, in a battle with concentration camp survivors (barely) who are all but dead already. If it didn't result in a gruesome reality for so many Palestinians and the other neighbors of Israel, I guess it would be funny.

Imagine thinking the world cares yet there are no speakers at the DNC and the "big protest" never showed up

If that’s so, why not ask them where Hamas and the hostages are since they know alot?

They’re starving and suffering. People will sell Hamas out for a loaf of bread and the promise of not being blown to bits in their sleep.

It shouldn’t be a hard war if Israel had the right military IQ. They seem to think just aerially bombing everything and escalation romance will scare Hamas and kill Hamas but that isn’t working.

I think what would make Hamas nervous is seeing Palestinians talking in conversation with IDF soldiers and they don’t know what they’re talking about.

The IDF shoots any Palestinian they see. If a Palestinian approaches with a white flag they are shot. Let’s say the Palestinian some how is not killed. The IDF would arrest and torture the person(and their family) because they have information on the hostages. Only someone working with Hamas would have information. This is the logic of the IDF.

The other question is after what 9 months of combat in an area 1/2 the size of Fairfax county hamas is still in control and operating in the open? Does this ever end?

When they are all dead. Israel wss very clear on this. media filered to say rhey wanted to end Hamas. How can Biden/Harris finance the war with that goal and then randomly call for a ceasefire without achieving anyway?

I'm not a Jew but it seems to me ..

This could be over tomorrow if Hamas unconditionally surrendered and returned the hostages.

The Israelis are not the ones standing in the way of a 2 state solution. "From the river to the sea" seems to indicate a rejection of a two state solution. The camp David accords were not rejected by Israel.

War is hell, but until the hostages are returned, I would not expect any country to stop.

I do not care, nor does most of America care. You are Palestinian and have lost your mind. Yes, I see all of them as terrorists. Shall I remind you that you probably didn't say a peep when we invaded Iraq? But, sure you are all for human rights now! Hypocrite.

Actually, the polling is looking really solid for Harris in Michigan. Most Americans accept that Israel has a right to self defense. And any sympathy people may have for Palestinians is made more complicated by Palestinian support for Hamas. It's why there's so little support for Palestinians in the Arab world. They are a tool for Iran. And everyone civilized abhors the ideology, misogyny, and hatred of Hamas and their supporters. Until Palestinians get rid of Hamas, their suffering is not going to be an issue in American politics. It's up to them to find better leadership.

Let me remind you all that this was started by Hamas; they took hostages, and regular Gazans, women, and children cheered and beat them when they were brought to Gaza. YOu all forgot about that, didn't you?
You are agents of Hamas and their bosses, Iran, who would love to see the U.S. rip itself apart, and you are working for them. For all I know, you are paid agents of terrorist organizations that destabilize my country.

The Uncommitted movement's speech (which they did not get permission to make last night at the DNC) was actually very clearly pro-Harris, pro-Democratic, pro-Human rights and pro-peace. It is a unifying speech, and a missed opportunity in many ways. I look ahead to progress in the future, and I appreciate the hard work and dedication for all those who peacefully and with determination fight for human rights. Thank you to all those involved in such a way.

So what Harris called for--an immediate ceasefire and self-determination for both sides--isn't sufficient for you?

Telling, to say the least.

Yes, the more the movement shows they can criticize Israel without going into bizarre antisemitic conspiracy theories the more airtime they will get.
