I am with PP here. I didn't follow the Kavanaugh hearings at all until this allegation came up. Mainly because I think how an SJC performs once he or she is on the court can be very unlike what one might have imagined at the confirmations.

But the allegation piqued my interest. I was assaulted at college by a classmate a couple of decades ago and didn't report it to authorities. However, I immediately cut off all contact and mutual friends of the two of us knew why. I also have a male employee facing sexual harassment charges that I and a couple of other supervisors strongly believe are groundless. The accuser has a record of making false sexual assault reports but is persisting in pressing her case.

When I first heard of the allegation I was inclined to believe her, but the details were so sketchy that I now believe her allegations are more like those against my male employee.

I admit to being a poster on this thread who asks for cites and comes back with cites if what a poster is saying does not align the record as it stands.

I am not a normal denizen of the Politics forum--mostly stick to Health and Gardening.
