Addition to what everyone else has already said, they’re trying to get him for two murders, not just one… and prove that it was premeditated.

Question from an ignorant in the field: If Juliana did flip, does this mean there will be new information in her trial?
They confirmed that there’s still a trial so how would she befit from flipping?

Oh a million things could happen between now and her trial, tentatively set to start November 12. If she is in fact cooperating all the prosecution has to do is ask the judge to delay her trial pending cooperation in the investigation and prosecution of BB. Then, for example BB is convicted of the current charges as well as any additional charges which may be yet to come, Juliana would probably take the plea deal which will have been offered during the above process (something like 5 years minus time served). But what do I know?

That poor daughter. Unfathomable. A lifetime of psychological harm. Can you imagine this freak disgusting evil guy was being her dad all this time? The little girl probably cried "where's mommy, what happened to mommy?" all the time, and this evil scum is the one that did it, and then lied to his daughter.

Because they only have one shot to arrest him. I agree and wish he was arrested much earlier (I am a neighbor and it felt uneasy seeing him walking around the neighborhood) but I do understand why FCPD had to be really careful with this case.

Ultimately, the question should be why did it take this long for Juliana to flip? Is it because her attorney is being paid for by BB? Is she just that clueless and naive hoping they will be back together again? Only time will tell but this arrest is a step in the right direction.

Because it sounds like she is super dumb and naive, like a lot of the posters on this thread who "just don't get it" or "how can this be true".

And the officious paternal grandmother defended him as well. She (the grandmother) should have nothing to do whatsoever with the future custody of that child whose best prospects for any sort of normal future lie with the Benson family.

If she has made a deal, there won't be a trial because she will plead guilty under a plea agreement. But she hasn't plead yet so the prosecutor's office is going to proceed with trial prep because deals can fall apart.
