| Our middle schools did not have them and they did not say anything to the kids about them today. |
It could have been a lost freshman. |
nobody had computers yet .. |
Westfield had 2 doors total for 2800 kids. My dc said there was only one metal detector at their door. I thought they were supposed to have installed more? |
did this happen |
| Yes, if only they taught math, it would be obvious that the numbers just won’t work. |
| This is such a joke. |
+1 just wait and see what it’s like when the kids have to take out the laptops. |
| For schools doing weapon detectors, could the bathrooms at least now be all open? |
This thread is about weapons detection systems making kids tardy. The Chantilly poster wrongfully implied that Chantilly started their metal detectors yesterday am and that’s why their kid was late. |
Oakton kids hadn't gotten laptops yet. |
|
Westfield kids also don't have laptops but some of the bus riders missed almost the whole first period-thats over an hour in line.
|
| Utterly unacceptable. I’m writing a letter and will vote them all out. |
| DD said the line was long but moving at Fairfax yesterday. |

Reasons for students to be allowed in before 7:45 AM.
So they can go to the band room and drop off their instrument; so they can meet up with friends in the lobby; so they can go to the cafeteria for a quick breakfast -essential for many students who have food insecurity; so they can check in with teachers or perhaps turn in missing work; so they can get out of the elements if their parents drop them off and it is raining or snowing. Were any of these reasons taken into account? |
