The Cambridges News and Updates ( Prince William, Kate Middleton, George, Charlotte and Louis)

I'm starting to think they're buying likes. Their engagement levels on most every tweet suck. And the accounts that like them are just RT farms for weird conservative content in both the U.K. and U.S.

Yikes some of those dresses. Kate looks nice in the color blue - but not sure if that is a coat over a dress or a dress?

And why did they pick blue tights for Charlotte to wear? ugh. better to have picked white or another dress all together. But she looked better than the other young girls who wore weird white ankle socks with flats.

There is nothing wrong with blue tights. Some people find fault with every little thing!

Yeah, the big secrets seem to be that 95 year-old woman is no spring chicken, grandchildren with difficult relationships with their grandmother's might visit privately when they realize said 95 year-old woman is no spring chicken, and sometimes we might not like an outfit that someone else has chosen and worn. These are all normal things but you guys get super weird about them!

You’d actually have to follow royal news more often to understand this one. The courtiers are the ones that plan out the schedules and for the last year or so have been trying to carry on more or less as if the Queen is still in her 70s. No one finds it surprising that a 95 year old woman who lost her husband last year, suffered a medical issue that landed her (secretly) in the hospital in the fall and then had a bout of covid this spring is getting old and doesn’t feel up to her job duties, we’re surprised that the royal powers that be are admitting it.

It’s the Sussex Squad that tried to run this thread that is complaining.

There was a story in The NY Times years ago about how they buy likes. It’s really pathetic.

DP. They just think it would be the worst thing in the world if she were seen in public in a wheelchair.

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, is destined one day to be king. Determined to serve his country as his grandmother, the Queen has so selflessly done for seven decades, William is the epitome of a loving husband to Catherine, and a devoted father to their three children: George, Charlotte and Louis.

In public, William appears calm, balanced and determined. He is passionate about safeguarding the environment and helping to protect species under threat of extinction. The Duke and his wife have also worked tirelessly to remove the stigma that continues to mark mental health problems.

In private, however, those close to him say that William, while being a dedicated servant of the Crown can be volatile, defying his calm, family-guy public demeanour. It is also said that while William demands deference from royals of lower rank, he rarely shows it to those above him.

This is the definitive account – insightful and nuanced – of the life of the Duke of Cambridge as he approaches his milestone birthday. Jobson explores the complex character of the man who will one day reign as King William V. It is the story of the making of a king for our times.

Interesting. I don’t doubt that William is entitled, arrogant and even volatile. I am surprised, though, that he “rarely shows (deference) to those (ranking) above him.” Wouldn’t that small group only include the Queen, Prince Charles — who is financially supporting him, and Camilla? It’s hard for me to imagining William being less than deferential to the Queen. Or biting the hand that feeds him when it comes to his father and his father’s wife.

Charles seems afraid of both of his sons. He’s spent a lot of time rehabbing Camilla’s image and I’m sure a few (true or not) stories from either of them can destroy that in one fell swoop. I can’t picture William getting out of line with the Queen.

William seems like a yeller and Charles seems like a plotter. Both petty and insecure but not really that similar.

It’s weird, isn’t it? Kind of lightly horrifying ableism. It’s not 1438. Mobility aids don’t mean that God doesn’t favor you or anything.

And you seem weirdly invested in these people. Pages and pages of bashing and criticism. Get over it.

Yep. They were really insisting a 95-year-old widow was going to pull out the stops on engagements any day now. Like she was immortal. Of course if you’d been looking at this family for the past five years, anyone with eyes would recognize the roster is staffed with senior citizens on oxygen and two lazy 40-year-olds.

Charles is going to have pull Eugenie, Zara and Beatrice in or that entire family is tagged out.

They buy their likes and followers. There was an investigation a few years back.

I guess I don’t get how he can do that. There’s no carrot or stick. He seems unwilling to commit to financially providing for non heirs. And does not seem particularly close to his nieces. Why would they devote time working for Charles when they should be working to secure their future? I don’t even see the York sisters staying in the UK long-term. Charles isn’t going to make them full-time working royals because of their father and unlike Zara their royal parent has no actually property. Given how disastrous the Caribbean tour was maybe he can scrap royal tours by anyone but him and get the Cambridges to do more of the domestic stuff. George will be in boarding school soon and the other two will be in full time school. They could do 2-3 charity visits a day and that would only be a few hours each day.

It’s a real missed opportunity. I think it would be quite a powerful thing to do.
